So Larson crashes him and puts him in hospital and no one cares?

What if it had been the other way around.

The outlaws never said anything about him being in the hospital, just that he was taking the night off cuz he was sore

I turned the event on right before the heat races started and did not hear any news about it. To be honest and not cold hearted, I did not even notice that Mason was missing in action. Hope he is ok though and it is not anything serious other than being sore. Also, Chase Raudman said he had talked to Mason (although not on the microphone) and Mason admitted that he basically got tight then came down and there was nowhere for Larson to go taking the blame for himself. From the sounds of it, I would say Larson did not wreck anyone.

So b/c no one posted about it you're assuming no one cares? Obviously higher profile drivers and athletes get more positive and negative reactions. This is nothing new.

If this appeared to be an intentional crash or was reactionary then it would of likely gotten more attention but  most fans went on with their day.

I sure would t say nobody cares. I would venture a guess that 99.9% of the people on hosehead care. That .1% is left for those with 2 accounts.

It was brutal when I saw it and wondered how he wasnt hurt, based on there was no news of an injury.

Definitely hope he is ok soon.

Larson also got crashed out while going for the lead by Macedo bouncing off the wall. It happens. That's racing sometimes.

I remember seeing Larson racing a bit aggressively and crashing. His car was moving fast. I don't think he had any ill intent. Racing is a risky profession. Larson may have appologized to the drivers involved, who knows.

Please include the said event these apologies were spoken.  Everybody crashes themselves & other competitors at 1 time or another.

Daniels was a driver completely out of control in the accident Friday night. Larson just happened to be the car going by & caught his left front tire.

Let's hope mason recovers & hits the road again. Personally I feel he needs to get some much needed experiance in his local area of California before hitting the road again. JMHO

You are correct. Mason took the blame for the incident. Larson was in the wrong place, full throttle, at the wrong time.

I'm one that commends anyone that joins to Tour, but man when you aren't qualifying for half the shows, where 360 guys are passing you, it's time to re-evaluate where your program is and where you need to take yourself. Even the rain out show at Knoxville he was nearly the slowest TT out there.

Some years back there was a thread on here about some kid who some folks said was racing way over his head. As I recall, he had spun out in front of the field and caused a big crash. A lot of people were yelling "Off with his head!". A few people defended him. They said he was a gasser and that in time he'd get the hang of things. One guy thought they should cut him some slack just because he was the only sprint car driver from Connecticut.

It seems that unless someone is fabuously wealthy, they are not able to sustain a losing program running with the outlaws very long. Does he have deep pockets?

Gravel was a winner in Pa & Ohio before he took off for the tour. Daniels is a driver obviously with deep pockets traveling the country, racing now & again.

I would agree that if a driver isn't a threat to win locally he should probably avoid the WoO tour. Then again, if I had a ton of money and some major sponsors I might think differently.

Bump !

Don't forget about this one folks.      It was a "career ender".           Mason Daniel had to retire.
