Two New Events Added to Sprint Series of Oklahoma Schedule!
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – August 1, 2016 - On this first day of August, officials with the Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA Racesaver Series are proud to announce two new additions to the inaugural 2016 schedule, boasting the total to five events for the season.
First schedule addition will see the tour make their second appearance of the season at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker, Oklahoma on Saturday night, August 27. When the series last visited the quarter mile, red-clay oval back on April 23 it was Jake Martens picking up the victory over a nineteen car field.
Also added will be a return trip to Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma on Saturday night, September 24. This event is tentatively slated to be the season ending points race for the series, pending any new late additions to the schedule. The SSO last visited Oklahoma Sports Park back on Saturday night, June 18, where Joe Wood, Jr. picked up the victory.
Oklahoma City driver Andy Shouse currently holds a thirty-one-point lead over Joe Wood, Jr. in the chase for the inaugural SSO season championship while Brandon Long (-35), Shayla Waddell (-65) and Chris Kelly (-80) round out the top five in the current point standings.
