Thanks for posting. Nice to see facts instead of hearsay from people that probably were not actually there to see it happen.

Kevin and Larson are still going on about it at 11pm Monday on Twitter, kind of funny if you ask me. Looks promotional!

I'm guessing Larson isn't too concerned about Kevin in the Sprint Cup series or any other racing series for that matter.....

Exactly... it was a joke!

After reading that piece, it sounds like some sour grapes from Swindell. His kid will never be a national star or make millions of dollars and he sees that now possibly? Larson is right....he runs into everything and should be able to take it if he dishes it (and he's been doing that for 35 years).

Thanks for the article, good stuff.
Actually Sammy & Larson are both 2 of my favorite drivers, cause they're GOOD. I don't really care so much about the right or wrong in any of this, they're both hellacious competitors & passionate about what they do. Just makes it more exciting.
Too much other crap in this world to take it so seriously. Everybody wants to win, everybody has a temper.... party on!

Also, they say bad publicity is better than no publicity. Good to hear people still talking about Sammy & Steve, & not just that sad "good ole days" stuff....

The fact is, Sammy is an all time great driver that will be remembered for his personality and altercations almost as much as all of his accomplishments. Kyle is extermely talented young man that worked hard and won a ton of races in all kinds of cars and deserves everything that he has now and will receive in the future. Kevin is also a great talent that has won in a bunch of different cars in a bunch of different places, there is no denying his ability to wheel anything. All that being said, I feel that there is a resentment of Kyle by both of the Swindells for all of the opportunities that he has recieved. It seems to me like they are a little bitter that the breaks have not gone Kevin's way in landing a high profile development ride or a good full time ride in any series for that matter. And I can't say that I don't blame them, I have always thought that Kevin has deserved a fair shot at his nascar dreams. But I think that altercations like this and the fact that people percieve his father the way that they do have really hurt his chances of getting his break, and that's a shame. Once again this is just all my opinion, believe what you will, but all three are great drivers and shold probably stay out of the Twitter pissing match. No one wins at that.

Sammy certainly deserves the all time douchebag of the Chili Bowl award, his record speaks for itself. (sorry if you think it is just a byproduct of intensity, you are wrong....it is possible to be a good hard passionate racer without being a douchbag)
He has already decidedt hat he can't cut it with the WoO, I guess he still thinks he can bully the kids of the Chili Bowl around for a few more years.
But I wlll miss it when he finally decides to get in the rocking chair....it is SOOOOO much fun to watch him have a meltdown and get mad. It's pretty predicatable anymore.....every year during the Chili Bowl he starts acting like a dickhead.

Probably not easy on the Swindells knowing they're not in Larson's league. I'd be jealous too.....

Sammy, the greatest ever...in his own mind. Thankfully I won't have to endure the constant excuses for his shitty behavior anymore. His retiring from sprint car racing was a good thing. Racetracks everywhere are safer without his wheeled weapon.
Cheers!

maybe Kevin didnt get the rides and breaks Larson has because of his "Bulldog" attitude that seems to have been passed dwn from his father. No one can deny Sammy or Kevins abilities and acomplishments but you also can not deny that neither one of them has ever owned up to any of the altercations they seem to have on the track, no matter what happend it is never a Swindells fault.

If you want to see a class father and son act you need to look at Billy and Chad Boat or Kenny and Davey Hamilton. I've watched Billy beside Chad since his Mini Sprint day's and never once has he interfered to my knowledge except in a positive way. The Hamilton's for those in the know, well you know.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Sammy is not is the same league as Kyle!! Kyle has won is so many divisions including asphalt. Sammy has won on dirt...while Kyle has won in every division he has raced in except the sprint cup....but stay tuned to this year!! Kyle has more talent than anyone racing is the sprint car division anywhere. That is why he is in the sprint cup series!!
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

well when people talk about larson and compare him to the greats, they metion AJ, mario andretti, jeff gordon, tony stewart.
i never hear hear him compared to sammy, because sammy, as good as he is, hasn't done half the stuff those other guys did. and at a quarter of his age larson has accomplished more than sammy ever will.
sammy is a great competitor and builder and chassis tuner, but at this point in his carrer larson has done more and gone further than sammy at the same point. you can't take a guy who is 60 years old and at the end of his carrer and and a guy who is 22 and at the beginning of his carrer and say that just because the new guy doesn't have as many sprint car wins he isn't already outpacing the older guy.
larson has done more in more types of racing than sammy ever thought of. and sammy and kevin were both given chances in other series.
larson hasn't skipped a beat as he moved up through the ranks. he has performed well even as he has moved up through nascar.
he was the series champ and rookie of the year in his first ever stock car season in K&N east.
he was the rookie of the year in nationwide
he was the rookie of the year in sprint cup.
none of those were given to him, he had to drive the cars and get the results.
the wins in sprint cup will come.
to indy and beyond!!
