....and people like you are an embarrassment as a PA race fan and part of the reason outside areas look at the place as toothless white trash rednecks.  What have you ever driven?  What have you ever raced?  Where does you expert opinion come from?  Ill be at the open this weekend and Id love to hear an expert talk about racing!   My name is Derek Latshaw, Id be happy to introduce myself.

Thank you for saying this, the things that are said here are truely crazy.  Field filler???  Well he must know what he's  talking about and Jesse Keen, Zemco, Swope, even Lee Stauffer must not be as educated racers as much as this guy.  I have lived in Pennsylvania most of my life, did live in California for ten years.  PA fans get a rap for their arrogance and ignorance because of fans like this.  The truth really is the number of PA ignorant fans is relatively small but they are so vocal it makes the rest of the country think we're a bunch of idiots.  People who drink beer all night Friday and Saturday night and have never put a cent into a race car come on here and talk about how this guy sucks or that guy sucks and this guy is a field filler.  Guess what - in this day and age of parody, you might see a guy come from outside of the top six starting spots only a few times a year.  So yes, Leppo has won from the front but he is far from a field filler unless the names I stated at the beginning are also idiots because they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to let that man drive their equipment.  I will say that I have never met Brian, never talked to him or his family, I have no dog in the fight, more then anything I am an outside observer who is embarrassed to have people say the dumbest things and have our area look like a bunch of dumb ignorant hicks.  This is coming from someone who has lived on both sides of the country, I love Pa racing and 95% of the people are great, it is the 5 percenters that live us a bad rap.

On a lighter note: field-fillers may lose their negative connotation as they are becoming an increasing valuable commodity

Enjoy the National Open and, before you bitch, remember guys like me who are stuck at home this weekend who would gladly trade that for a ho-hum win from the pole or, even, shall I say it?- a  Schatz sweep

I have to agree about the field fillers. With all the high dollar teams going away, the mid range teams become the big dogs in the area!!

I have noticed this happing, makes me wonder why the Marks team would travel, they could have been in the top three in points at every trak they ran!!
