About the closeset thing I've ever done to compare toa bad sprint car "ride" is an amusemet/carnival ride called the zipper. Never got any broken bones or red eye from the zipper.

man i remember the Kim Mock Curtis Boyer crash that was the worst i seen i could only imagine what those two felt. Dirtdevil i think i remember your crash and if its the one im thinkin of you were higher then the fence.

I too remember the Kim Mock crash on the back stretch @ Knoxville. I had watched him race for years at Wilmot and I don't think he was ever the same after that Knoxville crash. It was violent indeed!

Thanks for your sincere answer. I've only been watching for 4 years, & wonder how I would feel if I saw somebody get killed on the track.
But something similar happened that made a point for me, in something I participate in, zydeco dancing (from Louisiana) A guy dropped dead on the dance floor, heart attack.. After getting over the shock, we all realized he went down doing what he loved. Like you said, we all gotta go sometimes.
Thanks for following your passion & entertaining us. Be safe, my brother....

You never feel good when someone get injured and when someone racing dies, racing for that night is over. I was at Osky the year Keith (don't remember his last name) died. The accident happened right in front of use and some of his remains were left on the catch fence!
It was horrible, absolutely the worst feeling i've ever had at any race track.

ya kno, the closer i look at that, it makes ya wonder if Boyers bleeder was stuck, or RR going down, the car was laying down on the RR terribly, he looked to be fighting to just keep it off the wall and pebbles, obviously he skipped the cussion off two got loose and then this happend, it looks like he hopped Lutz RR. just amazing what can happen in the blink of a eye, anyone that likes crashes should stand at ground zero when the condition of a driver is unknown and laying in a car uncountious, it will send chills I tell ya, if not, your not human...

If you have ever visited with mark, his post incident interview says it all, he definatly got his bell rung on this one, much more chipper and responsive, I dont think he even knew what state he was in, looks like the RR wheel half broke?

I knew this one was bad as I was sitting on the back stretch off of 2 but when Ruthie from the safety crew who was just a few rows down from me (she was injured at the time and in the stands) turned and said to someone near her "that was a bad one...." it put it in a whole new light.
