While alot of the focus from this weekend is on Rahmer, and well deserved, I think a shout out is due to a young Trey Starks who made the trip cross country and raced his way into the A main both nights. Congradulations!

Good young driver. He did better than a lot of the outlaws without ever seeing the track before last week.

Posse boy Steve Buckwalter opened a lot of eyes this weekend also. As well as New Yorker Justin Barger.

I must agree. Props to all three against a stout field of cars.

Met Buckwalter and his family during Indiana Midget Week this year. Really nice people, had some good conversations about racing with them.

Totally impossible...for many years a self proclaimed expert had stated that the uniqueness of this track, having 2 straights and 4 corners gave the locals such an advantage that if you didn't race it weekly, then only some form of miracle needed to happen to allow anyone a chance to perform well. Hence, maybe it was his car...but obviously he wasn't driving.

Reality....Great job Trey Starks...and also Brian Brown...we appreciated your effort to make the tow.

He had the winning car Saturday night until dropping a cylinder.

He impressed me both weeks he has ran in PA. The crew was all central PA guys and the motor was built in PA too. There must be something good about the area.

Yo' Cobra, I simply passed on what was told me by about every Outlaw driver at the time.  They found it the most difficult track on the circuit to drive as well as the most unique, they hated the place.  Most of them didn't like the A-Hole fans like yourself either, they thought your type was ignorant, generally drunk etc.  Having said that they were greeted well by the vast majority of the PA fans tho'....

lol...the tapdance continues!

I can't argue agains the excuse the outlaws gave you...but it is clear these two grove rookie did not buy into the bullsh!t.

No VIP regulars were any drunker than your sorry @ss the last time you were here...but during intermission, we did chat about your exit from the country on day following your meltdown, just to make you part of Rahmer history.

Have a nice day, you miserable old goat.

I love you Nelli but I gotta admit that I LOL'd at "miserable old goat" :-). Maybe because it applies to Sammy on most days too......

I've heard the same thing from a number of Outlaw drivers as well. I believe the term "high speed parade" was used to describe what it was like racing there. Not my preferred style of sprint car racing or track configuration either. That said, all credit is due for the Posse on this National Open stand as they really handed it to the WoO regulars. Pretty damn cool to see Rahmer get the 50g's. Love it when the locals hand it to the WoO travelers.

Cheers!

BRR, more BS from the biggest of them all.  Virtually every trip I ever made at the Grove I was sober enough to drive back to where I was staying and I did.  My whole life revolved around driving from race to race and I would have never put that into jeopardy.  The supposed meltdown that you keep referring to, lol, was me threatening what's his name very drunk Father for the ignorant stuff he was hollering.  Cheering crashes and all the ignorant profane stuff isn't cool anywhere and I've spoke up about it at ball games, hockey games and race tracks and if a scrap erupted I generally enjoyed it, brought back many fine memories of 30 years of fightin' in hockey, the good ol' days as I refer to them....

The Grove is a unique shape that requires a big engine.  I don't think either driver in the top 2 in WoO points "hates the place".  The problem with the theory, is that Lincoln Speedway, a 3/8 bullring like 50 other in the country, also holds a WoO race.  It doesn't take a big motor to get around.  the stats go like this:  2 races, 2 Posse wins, 11 Posse drivers combined in the top 10, 4 WoO drivers combined in the top 10.  Did not include the Zemco car with Hafertepe driving it or it would have been 12 posse drivers.  So the advantage at the Grove is?  The results ate no prettier at Lincoln.   Back to the subject at hand:  Starks, Barger, and McFadden earlier this year all proved you don't need to have seen the place to perform there and all did very well on first trips.  Buckwalter wasnt a surprise to me, ran great 2 years ago when they were running a few more races and he has the ability.  The problem with that situation reared it's head Saturday night.  Can't win that race on 7, hell of a run for a great driver and a budget team though.

I've heard Schatz say before that he loves Williams Grove because it is racey as far as half-miles go and you can pass cars there.

tapdance away...the whole reason you were in our area was because your mouth getting yourself in trouble in Cobra's section...because you couldn't stop yourself from lecturing Van May during TTs and the folks around him were already tired your bullshit.

as the national anthem played and we walked toward 3, I warned you clearly that the people in my area would not put up with your pious lecturing...but sure enough, you simply could not control yourself...particulary when TBag spun out in 3-4 and folks laughed. He didn't even hit anything - not sure what "wreck" you keep talking about, but the only thing that came off the rails that night was your sorry ego. Kinser won with ease and you left the stands before the checkers...perhaps spending 10 tough years on the road, you had seen a few hundred races end the same way.

sure would be interesting to have been there to hear what Rohan's wife said to you that sent you running for the Canadian border the next day when you bailed before Hagerstown, but that is probably a memory you want to forget.

nevertheless...the weekend in question was one priceless spectacle...that generated (4) BRR Reports in three days with 2 nights of the Grove, 1 Lincoln Posse show and the high speed chase to Hagerstown for the WoO rain delay.

back to cleaning stables...

You make up this story wilder every time, but it's what you do best, lol.  Not sure about lecturing Van that's a new one, we did sit in his truck and talk for a few hours about some of his history tho'.  Sat with him at Hagerstown one night and never took a photo, anyone who ever gets that chance shouldn't pass up a conversation like that either.  It was nice to talk to a man about over-all sprint car racing not a moron who knew as little as you did/do, sorry, try it sometime.  I had a lot of great conversations with PA people about racing, many of them follow the Outlaws and other groups not just the locals, you should try that sometime, learning about the sport, that is.....

Really Mike?....Great way to defend your position by lowering the value of your opinion to name calling...

after umpteen posts by you extolling your viewpoint , and purposeful trolling to satisfy your ego...I make one post and I suddenly become an Ahole....wow
