Yeah I saw that Roth 83 car didn't make the show and loaded up early. Where is he from again? He looked pretty fast at the Kings royal last weekend from my turn 1 seat. Not so much last night. Yeah Cali represented well last night.

If that's what were comparing to now, how have your Pa Posse boys done out in California? Oh wait.. nevermind

Last time one could afford to head that far out Rahmer went from 12th to 3rd at Tulare the first time he's ever seen the track beating every single local California driver. But...no one cares, just like no one cares that TK didn't light the world on fire last night. They're all good, some are great. TK and Fred both fall into that category.

First of all, I have not gotten into this PA vs. CA stuff because I don't feel the need to do that. That's crazy, but as far as PA drivers success in CA:
Stevie Smith has won many times and Keith Kauffman has twice. Jeff Shepard won in CA as well. Pennsylvania based drivers have done well in CA when presented the opportunity.
And I don't want to hear how Stevie now lives in Oklahoma. He lived in PA when he ran in CA and some of those wins he had out there was in the Hamilton #77. He won the Gold Cup at least once.

Schatz on a roll, can he be stopped. Pittman has big lead but was much bigger a month ago.

Posse was set for a win on Saturday, most of their top dogs went out early (Lance, Rahmer, Hodnett, Dietrich, Layton, Monteith all went out in the first 16 cars) with many Outlaw top guns (Mcmahan, Pittman, Darrah and Sammy all former Grove Outlaw winners) were in the back 10 when the track went away. I think the draw had a bigger impact than anything else on the Posse take 9 of the first 13 spots.
All that said, since the streak ended, the Posse have won only 3 of 13 events (and 1 of those was won by the current Outlaw point leader) at the Grove. In fact, the last time a Posse driver won the 2nd night of a 2 day show was July 2010.

No shame in losing to the best driver in the game. 2,3,& 4 speaks for itself...

Didn't Kinser, Schatz, Darrah, and McMahon all win races last year at the Grove? I enjoy a flat half mile from time to time but I wouldn't even be a fan of sprints if Williams Grove, Port Royal, and Lincoln were my only options. I guess Lincoln is alright but unless Central PA fans travel outside of their comfort zone, they dont know what good exciting sprint car racing is.
We take if for granted in the midwest- Pevely, Haubstadt, Kokomo, Bloomington, Lawrencesburg, Knoxville, LaSalle, Burlington, Paducah, and etc....
Not to mention all the wingless sprints and UMP Late Model races that we have...
|
First off, Port and Lincoln are far from flat and the Grove has more banking in the turns than Knoxville. I do wish we had more bullrings that ran 410's on a regular basis but I guess we do if we count 4-5 neighboring states like you.

TO the pa possee bashers give donny schatz credit, but truth be known the head mechanic(which is from Mechanicsburg) deserves alot of credit, so yes Donny Schatz did win but keep in mind it was with a pa possee crew chief. so get facts straight before bashing pa possee, unless thats all you have to do with your time

I get on here to get news and results and updates on things and all I ever see is people coming at Posse drivers. Get over yourselfs, yeah we dont leave the porch. If some of you guys want to help the local car owners fork out the money for it, by all means help them leave the porch. We dont have the owners we used to with deep pockets. I would be quite content with every week racing against each other and the circus and all of the circus lovers can stay away. Especially the annoying fans behind me saturday night who were from Arizona and Utah, who whenever I told them smoke hasnt faired very well there in 410 competition got angry with me and called danny deitrich a pussy and this and that cause i was wearing his shirt, but yet in the feature deitrich blew by him like it was nothing. I also would sure hope Outlaws can fair well against anybody they race because they are paid top dollars to do so. Having Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne as car owners with bottomless pockets, usual is gonna lead to great driving and cars. It goes with any sport. If an MLB team were to beat a college team, I would sure hope so considering the circumstances.
