That would be the same day as the Tournement of Champions at Knoxville during Southern Iowa Sprint week..Lets see pavement or dirt, dirt or pavement... Will Mika finish a race? Will there be a fight on pit row?? Will it be hot and dirty in Iowa??? Be at Knoxville Raceway to find out... They do have t.v.'s there..

LOL!!! I think training should start at 6 since there is so much to work on... ya know doorbangers and pavement.....Oh wait that would be doorbanger and dirt... your right about the pavement for gettin there... I just hope there arent toooooo many Iowa potholes in the road..

My dad used to say, "watching a sprint car on asphalt was like watching fish in a barrel" and he was right, then. I have to say that I have seen some great Midget, silver crown and(sprints, till 86, Mike Bliss won) races at the Copper Classic here in AZ. It has also given me the opportunity to see some of the best drivers ever to wheel those machines. It was called the gathering of the clan and rightly so. That was some special show.
The Copper on dirt was a great show and will be better this year. It should be a three day show with the number of entrants it had. If any of you guys from the Midwest that went to the old show, I've met many of you, I would suggest you keep the tradition alive. It a great time to be in AZ.
