Making the 7 or so hour trek from Tulsa and my dad and brother coming from MN to continue the Nationals tradition, I think this is our 26th year. We've been bringing our boys along since 2006 to ensure this goes beyond us.

Coming from Prescott, WI. This will be my first Nationals in 11 years. Made almost every one from '85 until '01. I've made it to Knoxville for the 360 Nationals and other shows most years. I'm bringing the camper and family. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I can keep them entertained during the day.

Plenty to do during the day, check the schedule on the Raceway's website, plus the other things like the Waterpark in Pella, State Fair in DesMoines, shopping @ Jordan Creek Town Center in West DesMoines (if you have teenage daughters), MRN Radio Live shows from 5-6PM Tuesday-Thursday under the grandstand, Kick-It for Kids Cancer (Jeff Gordon Foundation Fundraiser) kick ball game @ Young's Park Friday, Nationals Parade on Saturday, vendors, post-race concerts, afternoon concerts at the fairgrounds, etc., etc., etc..

Coming 3+ hours from Lincoln, NE. This will mark my 17th Nationals in the last 18 years (only missed 1999.)

Spent the first three years as backstretchers, now proud occupant of Section B. If we could get anybody but Schatz this year, that would be awesome.

Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.

Going for my first time this year and will be in the pits. Geoff Ensign and I are flying out August 1 from SF or Oakland and getting to Sturgis, SD, where we'll get everything loaded up at the Lemspro shop and make the drive to Oskaloosa for Mon/Tues then Knoxville. Not really sure of the race plans for Oskaloosa (wing or non wing) but he'll definitely be running both places, and definitely the 410 big show at Knoxville. Ron

Glad to hear Geoff is going to be out there. I keep telling people they need to keep an eye on this guy, 'cause he's right on the edge of blowing up. I really enjoy watching him.

Travelling from Melbourne Australia for my first Nationals.

Flying time - 1 1/2 hours Melbourne to Sydney, 15 hours Sydney to Dallas & 2 hours from Dallas to Des Moines

Here's a question. What's the quickest way from West Des Moines to Husets Speedway in Brandon SD? I want to get to the AllStar race on the Sunday night.

Best to go west on the I-80 & then north on the I-29 or north on the 35 and then west on the 90?

Thanks

Highwayman65, Arrive DFW Wed 8/8, doing the JFK/6th Floor Museum Thursday & fly to Des Moines Friday. Pit Pass friday & grandstand ticket Saturday.

Would love to make it a longer trip, Outlaws at Bloomington & I-55 ( now that's a track! ) then on to Oskaloosa but I have been reading about Knoxville since I was a kid ( thanks Open Wheel magazine) so I happy just to get there....finally Smile
