Guy's fire to quit ratio is still about 99%. Five years of racing isn't long enough to "retire". He decided to quit for whatever reason.

paging Shane Stewart!!!!! Guy Forbrook is on the phone. Will you accept the Call?
|
Isn't Shane still in a Holbrook car? Come to think of it I've only seen that car in results a time or two. Whats up?

Different to see a racer finally make family first. I was shocked even when Jeff Gordon said he was letting Mark Martin take over the car for a weekend when his kid is born in July. Ofcourse, with the Chase format and him being in the lead it doesn't hurt him much...cause otherwise he would be at the track and he would have a Spotter in the Delivery room.

I would be much glad to be that spotter in the delivery room. I might forget telling Jeff the situation, however.
And kudos to Lindquist for putting priorities first. Do what you want to in live, not what others think or want you to do.
Good luck too him in whatever his desire it to do. He is already a winner.

I doubt anyone posting negative things about Fobrook have ever driven for him, or more than likely even driven any kind of sprint car. I barely know him other than nodding his way after a race or two over the years and he wouldn't know me from squat. He is a proven winner as a car owner. I can't think he puts a gun to anybodys head to drive his car. That said ..... you are hired and replaced at the owners pleasure. I have seen folks give 20 - 30 years of their adult life to a nasty, dirty factory and escorted out the door with out even being able to stop for their lunch box. When I hear from Forbrooks own mouth a degrading story of "firing" a driver like that I'll change my opinion then.

Dustin,
You are a champion and a class act! You have been a total hoot to watch and I'd be lying if I said that I don't completely ache at the thought of no longer keeping up with your racing. Thank you so much for all of the entertainment you've provided the last few years.
The entertainment that Jayce provides is even better, though, and I am so proud of you for stepping back to enjoy it. Racing will always be there for you to go back to, and whether it's 5 years from now or 20 years from now, you will excel at it. You only get one chance at those precious young years with your child, though. Way to go Dustin! Enjoy your beautiful little family!
We love & completely support the 3 of you!
Mary & Audrey

Dustin was on Win it or Wear it brought to you by sprint car and midget magazine tonight. You can go listen to the archives at www.racinboys.com then go to the video section. Also on was Steve Kinser and Randy Martin. Thanks BB
