I have been told by a source close to Elko Speedway that the UMSS Mirco sprints WILL NOT be running on the 14th and 15th of Oct due to a conflict with the promoter from the Miniakota sprints. The promoter of the Miniakota sprints likes to go behind other promoters backs and track owners don't like that, so the end result is, no racing for those guys. This is not the first time that this promoter has caused a problem I have heard. There was a problem also at another local track here by the cities too earlier in the season that cause them not to run.

So there will not be any Micro sprints at Elko.

We were pretty excited to get another two nights of racing in before the cold hits, but we found out thats not going to happen a while back also. The odd part is that the miniakota end of the year dinner is scheduled for the 15th. What a surprise.

Chuck Priefer, I would assume you're driving push truck for the UMSS now? My name is Wade and I am the promoter of the Miniakota Group who you are working against. We are also the group that brought the show to Elko speedway last year. Elko contacted Miniakota and booked Miniakota via Scott Mondus who is no longer with Elko. Without us... no Micro show... I have never talked to anyone at Elko Besides him. Outside of that, all your claims are false and I would like to know who's back I am going behind. To pass the UMSS dealings on us is a joke. To make claims as you have clearly leaves ulterior motives on the table and you clearly have never dealt with our group. I have not had any contact with any tracks in the UMSS area outside of Elko last season. The Miniakota Microsprints opted not schedule with Elko this season because of the large local demand, and a opportunity to run support for races like the WOO locally. Talking with Elko this AM I was reassured there is no Ill will or hampering on behalf of the Miniakota Group as you claim. The choice not to run the UMSS micro's had nothing to do with us. Elko was a great place to race and if we can ever find another sponsor to step up we could possibly be back together. It is a fine facility and management.

Chuck, you can pass this on to the gentlemen you are doing your propaganda for:

If the UMSS has cancelled the Micro show at Elko I would assume its because of a lack of UMSS cars and nothing to do with our group of racers from more than 4 hours away. I see they have had 2 cars this season? yes, 2 cars all summer. Is that possibly the reason they have cancelled the Micros? If it makes him feel any better to blame me then so be it.
