What a beautiful day to attend a race! Tonight the Proctor Speedway will host the sixth edition of the AMSOIL Twin Ports Twin 25s for WISSOTA Late Models. The weather forecast calls for temperatures in the low to mid eighties with NO chance for precipitation!
In the five year history of the event, there has yet to be a repeat visitor to victory lane in the ten features contested! Will that trend continue tonight? Come find out!
Out of town fans and drivers can count on the fact that Proctor Speedway officials will do their best to get the show done in a timely manner. They realize on a Sunday evening, everyone would to be home at a decent hour. With three classes on the card, everyone should expect to be on their way home by 8:30 to 9:00 at the latest.
The event has averaged 40 WISSOTA Late Models over its history. With the beautiful weather, one can expect the car count to be right on par with the past events. The event continues to offer the largest single day payout for WISSOTA Late Models. Each 25 lap feature pays $1,500 to its winner. There is a $500 bonus to the driver with the best average finish. The bonus swells to $1,000 if a driver should win both features, allowing that lucky driver to walk away with $4,000 for his efforts! The purse is structured to spread the money around to as many drivers as possible. For example, a driver having a mediocre evening, finishing 16th in one segment and 7th in the other would still pocket ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!
There is also above average consolation pay to those drivers not lucky enough to garner a starting spot in the twin features. There is a fund started by fans and sponsors to be split among the non-qualifiers and added to the track’s “$100 tow money”. That pot is currently at $1540!
Drivers are expected from as far away as Alberta, Canada, to Eastern Wisconsin, to Southern Minnesota and all points in between. Come witness the excitement first hand!
Spectator gates will open at 4:00. Draw cutoff for drivers is at 4:30. Hot Laps start at 5:00 with racing to start at 5:30. General admission for those 13 and older is $20. Those 6-12 get in for $2 and those five and under are FREE. Pit passes are $30.
