Well that will be interesting. I'm not really a "fair" guy and last time I checked they didn't allow in and out of the parking lots.
Is this true? If it is count me out.

C'mon Dave...stick with us here...by my calculations it's the same deal as always...

For regular shows, I usually show up at 5:00 pm and leave around 11:30 pm...6 1/2 hours later. For the Fair show, I'll probably stroll into the stands at 1:00 pm and leave the fairgrounds around 7:30 pm...6 1/2 hours later.

Always amazes me how it takes so long to run 118 laps that take 17 seconds! Let's see...

20 cars x 2 laps qualifying = 40 laps

4 heats x 12 laps = 48 laps

1 A-main x 30 laps = 30 laps

Therefore, 40 + 48 + 30 = 118 laps x 17 seconds per lap x 1/60 = 33 minutes (1/2 hour of racing).

Add another 1/2 hour for push trucks, another 1/2 hour for accidents, & another 1/2 hour for mud-packing & hot laps...you're looking at about 2 hours of track time.

Seems to me we're always stuck with 3-4 hours of intermission anyhow...it's all part of the deal.

So, during intermission, you can stay at the Fair, drink some beer, check out some ugly animals, and watch some crazy USAC-CRA fans get hypnotized and do some crazy things on the side stage (my personal favorite)!

Or, you can leave the Fair, head to the local bar, drink some beer, check out some ugly animals, and watch some crazy USAC-CRA fans do some crazy things on the side stage (another one of my personal favorites)!

The average length of a dvd for a 1 division show is between 1 and 1 1/2 hours. This includes time trials and all the racing.

by the way, heats are 10 laps, not 12
