Not sure if many on here remember Tommy Dickson,but I understand that he passed away last nite (Sun) around 10 o'clock.
Tommy was Larry Dickson bro,he raced a lot at Millstream and several other tracks,He drove for Marsh #00 plus the Dickson house car # 0 in this area--------------RIP Tom Dickson
1946 - 2010
Thomas Gustav Dickson, 64, of Marietta, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, at his residence. He was born May 26, 1946 in Marietta to Robert E. and Lucille Miller Dickson. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Marietta and the Nashville Diesel College in Tennessee. Tom served in the Army National Guard and was a member of American Legion Post #64. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley Old Time Racers. He was owner of Credit Auto Sales in Parkersburg, WV. Tom is survived by his son, Chris, of Marietta, three grandsons, Darian, Jacob and Logan; brothers, Robert G. Dickson (Catherine) of Marietta and Larry Dickson (Linda) of Trafalgar, IN; sister in law, Patty Dickson, and two brothers in law, Francis Rauch and David Weihl, all of Marietta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Paul, two sisters, Mary Lou Rauch and Nancy Weihl, and a sister in law, Ellanora Dickson. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. His burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, with full military honors. Donations may be made to Strecker Cancer Center, 400 Matthew St., or to Marietta Home Health & Hospice, 210 N. Seventh St., Suite 400, Marietta, OH 45750.
