Money talks and GY bought themselves back. As far as tires blowing its not acceptable going down the road and having a blow out. But racing throws them rules out. The tires are abused in racing depending on many variables , so to blame GY it just dont add up!

This year has been more tires blowing then previous years as I know that for a fact , but the real issue is tire construction , as I been told , is different , as they heat up faster then Hoosier . Yes , your right money talks as WoO needed a sponsor so that is why GY is back in at many of the tracks . You see the marketing people didn't do their job correctly at WRG . But next year the sidewall will be even harder , so let's hope for better things to come in 2011 .

I posted about this the other day, but unless I'm going blind, I don't see my post anywhere in this thread...
Anyway, in 2004 at the Kings Royal, virtually every car in the A main had a tire blow or go down. Almost EVERY car in ONE A main!
Where were the "Henny Pennies" then? Why didn't Hoosier have to "reply or do something" when their tires blew one after another? This year's tire 'issues' during the week of the Nationals don't even compare to that one weekend during July in Ohio...

please provide link, to credible articles, research and show these facts or admit this is just what you think cause you heard it somewhere,
if you cannot prove this you must be just another bitter hoosier employee
in one of these goodyear threads, I research the knox nats A main, and easily found in the results that tires were considered big issue for some of the drivers in all but one of the years back through 2005 and this years was no more of an issue than many past

No one wants to hear that! But you are correct, it's not the same whoseyour as last year. I hated the blown tire for Swindell, but the bottom line is Sammy junked his tire racing Donny and Donny junked his engine racing Sammy and Tim was in the right place at the right time! Why would GY owe anyone an apology?

Sammy's tire was not worn. He either ran over debris or it came apart

Is it possible that by running very low pressure in the LR, combined with laying the car down on the LR when scooting across the middle like Sammy was could cause the sidewall to get ripped/cut by the rim/beadlock?

becuase sammy know more than anyone and he would never push the edge of what tire, equipment of drive could deliver ( and for those who do not understand sarcsm, I doubt anyone knows or expects out of anything more than sammy)
