Brian Kemenah joins TMAC Motorsports as Crew Chief!

(Bill W) April 18, 2007 – TMAC Motorsports is proud to announce a multi-year agreement with Brian Kemenah, who will fill the position of crew chief.

Driver, Terry McCarl, of Altoona, Iowa could not be happier. "Brian Kemenah has a passion for the sport! He eats, breathes and sleeps sprint car racing. He grew up around it like I did. He's also a family man. His family played a big part in his decision to join us, and that's important to me. He's dedicated, but his family comes first. That shows what kind of guy he is. He's energetic, excited and wants to win. He'll do whatever it takes, night or day. People like Brian are hard to find."

Brian is equally excited to join TMAC Motorsports. "I'm so happy to get this opportunity that Terry, Lori (McCarl) and Tod (Quiring of Big Game Treestands) have given my family and I. Hopefully, we can build a good solid team together. We're not just looking at today, but at the future. I'm sure there will be times when we may struggle, but in the long run, I think we'll get things figured out."

Kemenah's family was a huge part of a decision that they thought long and hard about. "My wife Stacy and daughter Morgan are very big into racing. They are behind me 110%, and that is a good feeling. I know Tod has a family with kids, and so does Terry, so I hope it can be a great family thing for all three of us."

Joining crewman Greg McCormick should be a seamless transition for Brian. "Greg and I will get along fine. I have met him and he seems like a great guy. This is a tough business with the World of Outlaws. This is no 9 to 5 job. It's seven days a week, 365 days a year." In the off-season, the TMAC Motorsports stable will be under Brian's care in Northwest Ohio.

Brian's long affiliation with his brother Chad netted four straight All Star championships and countless other accolades, but he is ready to hit the road again. "I haven't been on the road for about six weeks, not because of my choice…the deal my brother Chad and I had, just didn't work out with the car owner. Chad had to go on his own, and I wish him the very best."

Despite his sixth place standing in the 2007 World of Outlaws standings, a steady crew chief is something TMAC feels is essential to a championship. "I've pretty much been my own crew chief and done my own set-ups for years. Brian is experienced, someone who's helped me out in the past with some ideas, and we've had a mutual respect and friendship over the last few years."

TMAC continues, "Brian runs a top-notch team. His cars have always been some of the best prepared and appearing in the pits, and one of the fastest on the racetrack. He's a well-rounded mechanic and just the guy I was looking for. He can help me mentally and mechanically…hopefully towards winning a WoO championship. In today's world, things are really changing. You can't just have one or two good guys, you need a lot of team support, and Brian fits perfectly. He's the piece of the puzzle we've been missing. I'm really excited!"

Terry would also like to thank Mike Woodring, who has been a great asset to the team the last few races. "Mike has a wealth of knowledge, and it's been great having his help the last few weeks," says TMAC.

The team will hit a place that Brian Kemenah knows well this Friday. Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio will host the WoO on Friday, and Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana will be the venue on Saturday.

Jeez ... I must have ESPN or even ESPN 2 I wrote here several weeks ago that might be a good mix. The butt of my Levis are still smokin from the flame job I got from a few. This will be a very ...very interesting team up to say the least. Good luck to both. And hopefully it goes the way we all think it will.

He seems to lose more "haters" every year that goes by and he doesn't spank the Husets boys on a regular basis. I swear at the WoO shows the locals in S.F. decide he's not such a bad guy. Or maybe they can't justify a WoO ticket price and stay home. I dunno .... I just can't help but notice he doesn't draw the venom in S.F. on a now-and-then appearance that he drew weekly.

No offense to anyone here, but didn't Terry have a pretty good crew chief w/ his last guy but his flaming temper type-A personality wouldn't allow the team to expand. Somehow I don't see a new guy changing a man that is so set in his "better than everyone" ways. Guess it was that awesome crew chief he had last weekend that helped him do so well compared to all the his other Top 10 finishes over the last few years...oh wait, each week he's gotten worse. Good luck Brian!
