For the first time since 2007 the Golden State Challenge will be racing at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway on a special Friday night event May 21st. Kings will host two GSC events this season with new Promoters Don Chambers and Brandon Morse securing one event this past December from Alan Handy and getting the other from Ocean Speedway.
With a brand new concession stand and beautiful new restrooms and a remodeled beer booth fans are in for a great experience at the races.
Chambers not only is co-promoter of the facility but has also been very busy re-shaping the track and putting a lot of time into the track prep which has paid off the first three events of 2010.
Gates open a 5:30 with racing around 7:00. Pit gates will be open in the morning with a sweep around 3:30. To pre-purchase tickets call the speedway office at (559)584-RACE (7223).

Good to hear Hanford is back with a new promoter, Can you tell us is it general admission or reserved seating in the main grandstands? Cost for the grandstands? adults? children? pits?

I wish they were all general admission seats, so you can sit with your friends in a group. One Price, $20, $18, etc. Who's is the announcer for GSC- Bobby Gerould? Hope its someone knowledgeable it make the racing so much better when you have a good announcer.

410sprinter, you act like there isn't reserved and general admission to most tracks, there is.. insted of crying about every little detail maybe you should be more thankful that we still have a good track to go to watch racing specially with the economy the way it is

Most tracks I attend do not have reserved seating and if they do it is usually a big race WoO, NASCAR, etc. Sorry if I got you worked up. Yes I'm glad to see Hanford get a new promoter, from what I hear he's making it a better place. It's just nice to sit with friends you havent seen for awhile. Let me know where you are sitting and maybe we can chat... smoke fan14 too

I don't every remember Petaluma, Antioch or Watsonville having reserved seating for any local, C.W. or G.S.C. shows.. By far Petaluma and Antioch have the cheapest ticket prices for kids and seniors..

Reserved seating for some seats in main grandstand for those that wanna know where they sit when they get up for a beer and general for those that wanna meet up with friends. best of both worlds...Next complaint is the beer is too cold! :-)
Hope we see ya next time!
