Curt Grogan,
Your are from the 'Hutch Region' Any idea what in the world Regis Philbun,,,east coaster, was doing in KS??? Did he do sports gigs at some time? Earliest ,I remember him was calling the Orange Bowl Parade or something similar. Just curious. He surely wasn't blue collaring in the trenches as a stooge for someone at Hutch, was He? Nahhh...
Take Care,
BC

On the off chance that you aren't be facetious and have been living completely out of touch since 1957, check out his filmography on IMDB.

Aha, Kurt Russell is a movie guy. I don't do movies. Things happen too slowly in them (as opposed to sprint car racing). He certainly has done a lot in that field.

Roy Clark sponsored Chick Shaddox's car at Tulsa Speedway back in the 70's.

Riki Rachtman from Poison and the weekly NASCAR Racing Rocks radio show has been known to sport an Eldora sprint car t-shirt on tv once in a while...

Riki Rachtman didn't play for Poison. Their drummer's name is Rikki Rockett and I think he got into stock car racing later in life. It's interesting, except for guitarist C.C. Deville, the rest of the band was born in the Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg area so you know they have to be into cars and motorsports a little.
Patrick Dempsey is into sports car racing pretty heavily. Jason Priestley is into sports and Indy cars. I'm sure I'd forgotten it but according to his wikipedia page, he was seriously injured in an Indy Lights practice crash at Kentucky Speedway in 2002. States "crashed into a wall at nearly 180 mph."

I stand corrected Petey,,,, Upon further review, apparently Riki Rachtman has not played in a band but is connected with rock through the Headbangers Ball as a radio and tv personality and is friends with Axle Roads,,, but still wears sprint car tee's,,, LOL Thanks for the correction...
