This is the car for the inspiration. The first 6 cylinder he drove. Both cars were built so similar, had the first one not have been totaled, this car being done now could have been mistaken for the first one!

This a neat little car recently added to the stable. It is like a Nance yet it has connotations of being a copy. It has been rebuilt several times yet there is no idea as to the history. Complete with a 302 all this one needs is a body. Yup, she runs too.

I'm going out on a limb here since I haven't asked for permission to post these. BUT there are other cars in Wichita Falls as well. Here is David Hestands CAE sprinter, yup she runs and looks fabulous too. If you get to check out the hood, there are a lot of well known names autographed on there.

Dig it, the real thing. Yes it's a little rough, that's why God made tetanus shots. You had to WANT to drive just to win in this era.

I am in the process of getting this ready as well as the car behind it. Yeah I know, "how come he takes pictures of everybody elses cars but he never shows his?"

I have 2 days off in a row, I'll try to update mine in a day or two.

There are more cars.......Some you have heard about and have not seen in many years, some you don't remember but are still around. A few you have never seen. The contingent is growing, some wish to call it a brotherhood. This story is writing itself and we are just reading it as it unfolds. The truth burns the lines in the pages. The choice is ours to make it positive.

At this moment there is a collective effort to get more bodies made, just ask Harold Lindsey in Wichita Falls or Gil Johnson at Midway Vintage Racing (web link on the main RFTP site).

Here's a teaser, a few of you might remember I L SMITH.

Although needing a total restoration, that car still exists today. The "Narrow Body" style WAS THE FIRST fiberglass in our part of the continent from what can be determined. Yes, it is intact enough to be used as a fiberglass plug.

The show at OSP is looking good still. Getting very close to having an Honorable name that will represent what we wish to stand for.

This is a name that is once again, one that is to be a reminder of why we do this. Hoping to have permission by the end of this week.

From time to time something in this adventure comes along that makes the whole thing even more worthwhile.  I had been looking for the right name that stood for what I want the show at Oklahoma Sports Park to represent. In short- Honor. It had to be a name that stood solid on ALL sides and reached across borders. One that had NOT one bad thing said about the person from every corner of the area I've been to.

Having met his Family last night I knew this was the right name. He was a Champion amongst the people, highly respected in every room I've been in that his name was mentioned. His Family stands guard for what he stood for, the Legacy will live on. This is our chance to say thank you to him, and at the same time get the cars he loved the most together.

Coming out of the town of Rowlett, Texas are Jerry and Ken Murphree with their restored sprinter nearly completed. Hope to see you guys up this way. This car captures some nice lines for sure. Been hearing a lot about vintage midgets down Texas way too.

Look at the top rail on this one. It's a space frame yet the toprail goes under the headers like a Beck or Howerton. Never heard what brand this frame was.

Harold Lindsey in Texas has been busy bringing this super up to code. YOU CANNOT LOOK AT THIS CAR WITHOUT WANTING TO DRIVE IT! I can attest to that, all the right stuff and a good form to go with it too. Harold is mostly liking a cross-spring front, but in this case the torsion-conversion was done so well, he juuuusssssttttt might leave it like it is.

New Madison, Indiana also is on there with P&W Machine. Telling me that it came from close to Eldora.

This car came from south Texas, but it originally came from Iowa before that. It had a square tail on it, and the sponsors had the town of NEW PARIS, IOWA. It is a mono-rail Edmunds/Nance style 100". the cage looks a lot like Jiggs Founds cage on his '76 Nance, yet once again this is an old cross-spring car converted to torsion. In person it looks like a blast to drive.
