I had a lot of fun posting these pics! I'm saving the Singing 5 pics for a story to do soon, so I want them fresh. I'm so fuzzy as to what I did post, there are a few more. Mike has a lot more in store if I can get back over there soon.
JD,
I can post your pics that you want on here if you want to. I go through your area quite a bit these days.
The 22nd is fine with me, I'll try to get Mike up there if he wants to go. If he brings pics, be prepared to be there a while. That man carries so much history with him, 5 hours goes by quickly.

Benny said he was unlatched and ready to get out of this car BEFORE it stopped rolling!

James went on to bigger and better things before fate intervened. Believe me, before the end came, he had their attention

Top car is the last car Pat Patterson drove. This car is a George Bignotti dirt car copy, stretched 4 inches. They had to widen the cage out a little so Pat could fit in.Bob Marshall from Wichita Falls has this car now with just about everything needed to have it running by spring.
I think the bottom car is the old 999 car.

Here are a couple old ones for ya! August 1965, my dad driving Louis Weeks car at the OLD goldsby track. How about those junk cars for guardrails! And how about that snappy driving suit!!
Evening of the 22nd works real well for me. Might even get my girlfriend (who loves racing) to come get some pictures of us guys lookin at pictures. this is gonna be great!
We need somebody to donate a place where we can start like an OKC/NCRA area hall of fame, What do you guys think? Any ideas?

Brian,
In this pic is the #65 Carl Wyatt/James Skinner car, this car and I also have a little history, Tony Pressley bought this car and ran it part of 1 season then I helped him rebuild it made alot of changes to it coil/overs on the front and took the automatic out and went to crowerglide and in-out box, he ran it that season then over the winter I rebuilt it changing a lot of things put a sprint tank on it and a Nance hood revamped the coil/overs on the front then went to the old mans and drilled all of those bolts out, Tony had Buddy Rice build him a nice engine, the car was light for those days about 1500# and on the first night out at OKC one of those steering arm bolts that I had drilled out broke on the RF and he powdered the wall off turn 2 flipping down the back stretch landing in the infield going into turn 3, Tony spent 3 days in St Anthonys after that one, if ever a guy owed me an ass kick'in and I would take it is Tony, the old man told me that your drilling to big a hole in those bolts but my hard headed ass wouldn't listen and it caused Tony to bust his ass!!!
Did Steve Young drive the #23 in this pic?

This thread is great!!! I remember the night you are talking about with Tony. I believe alot of the car fit in the back of Robert's suburban. I use to have alot of fun coming down to the shop on reno and "helping" you guys.
We are taking the little girl to Silver Dollar City on the 22nd or I would be there. Maybe another get together later???

I'd donate my house if you guys paid the bills, made me full time curator, company car etc etc................LOL
Funny as that is, security is no problem here. People around here think these are dune buggies! They see one of mine and decide not to bother since they have a low ground clearance.

I would like to point out that these pictures I have posted were taken by many different people over the years. All of these were taken for the love of the sport we knew then. Most of the new ones are from Mike Monatoboy's collection. Some he took, many were from others, traded and bought, but always in good faith.
I got so crazy posting pics, I didn't stop to give proper credits.
