I wasn't complaining, just stating that whenever something goes on at Lawton, it always generates losts of posts and views. Always has and obviously, always will.

And no, I haven't read each and every single one of these posts. The less I know the better for me in the long run.

A lot of us down here love racing and to have Robert Sellers race here. But most dont know about this board or they dont like to post.

thanks for the update, just wondering where he ran off too. Bruner if you read this get ur a$$ back in a sprint and come show these young boys how to run!

= I am so disappointed in the fact that you all fail to see one thing all the young children at the track saw was Robert hitting Shawn while he was still hanging upside down the from where we were sitting My grandson and I plainly saw Mr. Sellers Jump on Mr. Bloomquist when he was going by on his 4 wheeler ... now before you all jump at me like fresh meat I am new to Lawton Speedway but have been around racing all my life with lots of family members racing when I was younger, So I do remember a time when there were fights in the pits and by the next week all was forgotten but as was said earlier in this forum IN this day and age everyone is money hungry and sue happy.... I just wish that you all will stop see Mr. Sellers as a saint and puttimng it all on Mr. Bloomquist ... Ok maybe it was a racing incident that went bad but I am pretty sure Mr. Sellers has also in his time of racing caused a few racing incidents and would have been sportsman like to have someone hit him while he was still strapped in... I guess it comes from bing a neice, a step sister and daughter of a racer in past that I see this as a show of poor sportsmanship... Racing incidents are going to happen but now someone says oh lets sue him ... Rubbin is racing and in the short time that I have been going to Lawton Speedway I believe I have seen Robert Sellers as well as Shane Sellers make a few not so smart moves but no one points a finger at them.... As I see it maybe Mr. Bloomquist thought he could pass on the inside and it just did not work out but why go be assaultive about it .... Please keep in mind I had to explain to a 5 year old little boy that yes he was right that was inappropriate actions and no he should never get mad in Tball, Football or Racing if he chooses to race when older... that is called unsportsman like conduct... I was appalled at the way it was handled by track officials but I was also appalled that a older man about my Age ( Sellers) would throw a punch like a teenager.

I will not allow my grandson to go back to that track unless something is done about these actions.

I will say that Lawton Speedway is the first track I have ever been to where they did not have a Law Enforcement official at the track..... I do know that when I went over to the pits with my grandson to get one of his favorite driver of the nights Autograph Lucas Steele....

What my grandson saw was 3 Sheriff cars there to talk to the people involved and then when Sellers car passed us walking by one of the security the driver of the truck hauling Sellers car flipped someone off out the window and in my eyes this is just too much for my 5 year old grandson that we are trying to teach that he needs to be a good sport and does not need to get angry if he does not win or get his way in a game ... So please do not attack me for what I feel and see

Thank you very much for trying to point out the truth. Sadly you probably will get slammed for it, as for some reason people do turn a blind eye.

Luckily Gary Owens talked us into making the drive to Ada, and I thanked him very much for it afterwards. I have 3 boys and they are at a very impressionable age with one playing t-ball. I agree that the kids did not need to see those actions and again I'm very grateful mine didn't have to witness it. As it is, I haven't been back to Lawton. I have no reason to as my brother got banned that same night because of an incident with Nunley. Which probably turned out to be a good thing as he was escorted out before the Sellers incident happened, and he did have his young son with him as well. As well as being a mom, we also sponsor Gary Owens and if he acted like that (which I doubt he ever would) he most likely wouldn't have our name on his car again.

I'm not about to defend Sellers ,1 I dont know him very well,2 What little I have seen of his driving wasnt impressive.Though he is the type of racer I like to race against.Racefan there is one thing many peoples dont see, racing is a very high adrenalin sport ie something gets bad on the track the first thing an average driver wants to do is go after whomever offended him right then.The seasoned driver will control those emotions and take care of business on the track weather it is that night or another one later.Kind of like a dept that will get paid usually sometime that season. Please do not punish your 5 yr old from racing regardless of the track due to the actions of stupidity.I have a 6 yr and a 3 yr old that witnessed the worst fire I have ever seen.Its gonna be awhile before they will even want to go back.One does play t-ball,football,now the racing is on hold for now,if he decides to he will race hopefully against larry's son Ryan.Let your child know there are winners,loosers then some idiots.They are in any sport.

Some of the responses on this subject amaze me. Sellers isn't an impressive driver or a seasoned driver. Are you kidding? In 2001, he finished 4th in points on the ASCS national tour. He has won championships at State Fair Speedway. Other than Middleton, there is not one driver that races at Lawton on a regular basis that could compete in OKC. Most would be lucky to qualify for the A feature.

If you had attended the races regularly at Lawton, you would know that the dirty driving by the "spoiled brats of Lanny" has been going on for a long time. This dispute did not just start on that particular night. They wanted rid of Sellers because they couldn't beat him. I guess Ezell did beat him if you count the sucker punch from behind.

Congratulations Ezell and Bloomquist. You now have a chance to win a points championship at Lawton Speedway with all 7 cars in attendance. After you win your championship, go to Winter Nationals at OKC. You might win the B feature!

P.S. Just in case you still can't win, you might want to take out Middleton.

Yes you are complete correct Henning is good kid. He is not cheating nor racing dirty. Just because the Nunleys help him with is car does not make him bad. He is not a cheater.....Just a finally got the right set up in his car and is kicking a$$. If that upsets everyone then sorry. I am sure that if the nunleys were to help someone else out then everyone would be takling about them.

Are you kidding apperently you don't know Bloomquist because he pays for his car. He is not a spolied brat.....What happened that night was racing until Sellers did what he did while Bloomquist was still in his car. Had Sellers never did that then there would of never been any fighting.

If Sellers is going to quit coming to Lawton because of something he started then so be it.

Apparently you were either not there, or forgot to put your glasses on. Sellers never touched him while he was still in his car. He was yelling for him to get out of the car, though.

Dirt; I believe you may have misunderstood my last post.I said "he wasnt very impressive".I like racing against drivers like him because they get mad easy.I said nothing about him being a seasoned driver,I was referring to seasoned drivers. Btw Middleton will more than likely take the points @ Lawton.

I completely agree with you Dirt! Robert is a great driver and person. I would much rather my kids look up to Robert Sellers than pansies like Ezell and Bloomquist. What Bloomquist did to Robert that night was completely uncalled for. There was no reason for that dirty move on the front stretch. Robert made a clean pass and Bloomquist threw a fit like a little baby. Him and Ezell have been hanging out way too much. Next thing you know they are gonna be throwing stomping pity parties in the infield. But it's okay Kyle, Grandpa will make it all better. BLAH.

That is the point I was making when I said ignorance is bliss. Bloomquist is not protected nor spoiled by Edwards. Bloomquist does pay for his car. He was even the bigger man and went and spoke with Sellers several weeks ago about not tearing each others cars up. AND Bloomquist catches more $hit from Lanny than what you think. SO dont be so quick to pass judgement on anyone.

And it is funny how quick everyone is to assume.....Quit blaming Bloomquist, Quit blaming Edwards, Quit blaming Ezel... Get over it people Sellers screwed up....

Doesnt matter even if you are a seasoned driver, people make mistakes it is human nature.

Bloomquist, Ezell, nor Sellers got suspended actually.

Ok well last week, 6/7/08, the 02, 99 and the 05 cars were there at Lawton and as matter of fact the 05 went up onto the wall and caught fire so I am thinking you heard wrong but maybe I just was not thinking of the same cars as you are... I as a fan hope that the BS does get straight because like I said My Grandson loves to watch the mods and I cannot take chances with the BS like the nunleys and the other stuff.

No one is ever barred when a series comes to the track. He is banned from weekly racing, not the track itself.

Thanks Cheese. I assumed everyone would know that until I saw all the posts on here about it. Some people claiming to be race fans for life just really don't know that much about racing. Hope you get your motor soon so that we can have another Jennings on the track

Ok I am sorry all of the tracks I have been to when you are suspended you are suspended period... My step brother got suspended in his mini and also raced sprints at his home track and was not allowed to race so I am truly sorry I am an idiot in your eyes on this I just have always seen it that way but I will just say I am sorry you felt the need to be obnoxious because I am sure if you go back to my first post it does say new to Lawton Speedway but I guess I should have said new to Oklahoma racing scene So I stand corrected and I am sorry you felt the need to put me in my place by downing me... Hope you have a better day
