We've known Robert and Shane as well for several years and both are excellent drivers, aren't there to start BS on the track or in the pits. It's a shame that the young drivers eg. Joe Bob Lee can't have that talent on the track as a learning experience instead have to race with drivers that don't care who they take out or what damage they cause to other drivers cars.

I remember 2007 when Lanny got on the speaker in the pits and said he didn't need the drivers to run that track. Well, the big question is does he actually have that much family/relatives that can make up each class and really expect spectators to come and watch a weekly brawl with their kids @ $10.00/person?

This track used to be great and many drivers like Robert in all classes. Lanny has let it go to s---. Lanny is doing a good thing for some of these smaller tracks trying to get up and going, giving them cars, drivers, spectators on a weekly basis.

Robert and Shane sorry you had to experience the Edwards craze. Your both awesome drivers!!!

Sorry made a mistake on who was leading the race. I did talk to Cody afrer the races he was doing good considering what had happened. Eddie had been losing fuel presssure for some time during the last remaining laps and that caution definitely didnt help. But it was good to see Joe Bob win a feature--maybe this is something that will be happening more often.

Nothing is going to happen at the Lawton Speedway until the fans and drivers make some kind of statement by not showing support for the track by not attending--which seems to be happening every weekend with car count being very low. And the fans need to be more vocal on the things that make them upset. Lanny needs to open his eyes and ears to see and hear the people who pay to keep the track open--maybe not open for too much longer if car count keeps going down!!

I was thinking that if Lanny really wanted to give us our moneys worth this Saturday night - he would drop the factory stocks and keep the Champs on the schedule. Maybe some of the OKC guys would haul here for Champs since ASCS is going to be here Heck, as low as our car count is in factory stocks and champs, we could keep all of them on the schedule and still be out of there by 10:30!

JERRY BRUNER IS LIVING IN THE OKC AREA AND DOING GREAT! HE IS RACING THE SAFE WAY ( RC CARS) EVEN THOUGH KELLIE SAYS THEY ARE JUST AS EXPENSIVE! HE AND FAMILY ARE DOING GREAT! YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING THOUGH, HE WAS A HELL OF A SPRINT CAR DRIVER!

Well, he didn't drop the factory stocks but the Champ Sprints are on the schedule for this Saturday, along with every other class. Which is suprising considering he normally relies on the Champs to cover a low car count with the ASCS sprints if in fact there turns out to be a low count.

Back to the topic, I noticed neither one of the grandsons were in the results from last Saturday. Both got tore up shit or did Lanny accually do the right thing? Pretty sure I know the answer to that question.

yeah BS is right - this aint about doin the right thing - this shit is about MAKING MONEY.

thats the same thing as saying he needs to add another class for friday at OKC. which I think he does. but he won't - he has these ascs shows highlighted on his schedule - i bet he makes more money. friday at okc we may have around 50 sprints between champ and ascs - and then 9 factory stocks to go with it. lol. i mean shit if we gonna pay 15 bucks - he should just run the 2 sprint classes. instead of reminding us how utterly pathetic the factory stock class has become.

but he aint gonna change any schedules. he wasn't thinkin far enough ahead at SFS when it came to his schedule. when ascs is here he runs 3 classes and makes sure to throw the factories so that it really aint 3 classes. in fact by lookin at the schedule - and reading the crap he sputtered to the newspaper earlier this year - he prob thought the pro stocks would be just as dismal. instead they have saved his ass on a couple shows - May 9th being the most. they were the only half decent race of the night.

man i can only hope. that the track is good friday - if not it will be 15 bucks wasted. if we have a may 9th repeat - that will suck. and then next week no champs - we hope to take our asses to Knoxville for the ASCS/410's/ Midget Nationals. and then like 8 of the next 9 weeks they have both sprint classes runnin at sfs. it will work out well for us - if we make it to knoxville next weekend. its one of them things - sfs is still better than most shows - so when they race - you go to sfs. thats where the knoxville midget nationals came in. if we're here next week we'll surely go to sfs - but we're lookin for some bad ass open wheel racing - not seeing 25 champ sprints replaced by 10 weak factory stocks. so if weather cooperates and my old man continues to comply - our race-o-meter says go north about 9 hours. GO NORTH! wow - i just now thought of it - if we go - someone else will have to score the fantasy league next week. aw man - i better figure out for sure what goin on.

I totally agree. Obviously if you are caught illegal with one car you will be trying to do the same with another one. Nunleys have been in trouble for stealing parts for cars and for running illegal in Lawton. Hello wake up out there they are cheaters with hot tempers that dont belong on the track. It was clear that when Lucas bumped him it was not on purpose. Even if it was, who are the nunleys to say anything about cheating. They run around the track takin ppl out no matter what class they race in. We are all there to have fun and yet we have cheaters out there who are gonna cause something serious to happen and someone to get hurt.

I couldn't agree more! Once a cheater, always a cheater. Most of the fans at Lawton Speedway love to hate the nunleys, which is obvious by the boos that follow them each time they pass the grand stands. And there is always a huge round of cheers if someone takes one of the nunleys out!!! Now we can add henning to the list too. The only logical assumption is that he will cheat too, and it's only a matter of time til he is driving as dirty as lonny and thomas.

And, I did see on the Lawton home page that the champs are on the schedule, but if you click on the schedule tab - the champs are not on there. So who knows what's really running Saturday?

First of all, I agree that Lanny should keep the champs on the schedule during ASCS week, just like he does in OKC.

Secondly, I agree that the nunleys are dirty drivers and not to popular with the crowd. I've seen lonny, more than once, drive past the grandstands flipping off the crowd while he was being boo'd for dirty driving. Henning seems like a nice enough kid, but it's only a matter of time before he's hated just like the nunleys because he chose to affiliate himself with them. Let's just hope that the good guys like Southerland, Wilson, Webb, Shipman, March etc. can beat him and lonny in the points by the end of the season. Maybe, lonny and casey will run in to each other in the A feature this week - and we will all be happy!

Looking forward to ASCS this weekend - hope Robert and Shane are coming.

Edit: It was there this morning when I looked, now its gone. Guess Lanny has the best stuff out there. Like I said in my last post, he is prolly expecting a low car count and will pay a few of the Champs to show up and make the field. You know, to get in the way and take away from good racing.

Thanks for the support we are tryin I personnally dont have enough motor for him Ive never been hit by henning but I know him and wilson have been gettin into it but those other guys you mentioned wilson webb shipman and marsh are clean drivers and I enjoy racing with them.

Henning was broke down by officials a couple of weeks ago and was completely legal...So maybe he is not cheating just doing well.....

Ya know the thing about it is that when this site was first started back in 1999, Lawton hijacked this message board back then too and was always the topic of conversation. Now, the posters have changed but things seem to remain the same.

Well David, if you feel the posters from Lawton "hijack" this board then why do you call it Oklahoma Tiobits and not OKC tidbits? I thought that was the point of this. Guess I was wrong.

come on guys dont pick on the lawton guys. they have enough problems as it is. like where they are gonna go race when their track is no longer around because there are no cars racing there and no fans left so the little man shuts her down.

I didn't take it as if David was complaining or criticizing about Lawton posters - I took it as a compliment that we are so in to our racing and supporting his site. Thank you David for giving us a site that everyone can voice an opinion - no matter where we live and get current information from and about the drivers.
