I'm curious as to who you are saying ended up in the hospital? Not anyone on Sellers end. I now see how you come to your opinions.

As for expecting to dominate, you are so wrong. I wish more competition would have come down there on a weekly basis. The two little Edwards wouldnt know which one to try to take out first. Blumquist has already taken several cheap shots at Middleton, and I am sure he is the next one to get taken out by either those two or the officials. That is one way to win the championship, run them all off until they are the last two racing.

Yes, I was in Lawton Saturday night. First I saw Robert Sellers make a clean pass around bloomquist, with pure safe driving ability.

Then I saw bloomquist intentionally take Sellers out on the straight away.

Then we saw Sellers jump out of his car and run to bloomquists car to give him a piece of his mind. Bloomquist jumped out of his car to return the favor. Several men jumped on Robert and held him while ezel jumped him from behind and punched him in the face.

Then I saw Sellers unload on ezel, which was quite understandable.

So, according to track rules Sellers, bloomquist and ezel should all be suspended for 2 weeks. That's pretty simple and the only fair solution,

If, for some reason, Sellers does not return to Lawton to race - the sprint car count will be down to what - 7 sprints. And the spectator count will drop by a few hundred people. Sellers is an awesome driver and fun to watch. Always drives clean and dominates. In fact, we saw him win the Champ sprints A feature in OKC Friday night.

Other young drivers like TJ Harrell, JoeBob Lee, and Eddie Middleton have improved over the past 2 years and are also fun to watch, much in thanks to the example set by Sellers. But if the treatment drivers get at Lawton from the owners and staff continues, none of those drivers will keep going, and certainly no new ones will even consider it an option. How many fans will come out to watch bloomquist and ezel battle it out alone every week?

JMO but maybe this will open Lannys eyes. I certainly hope so because my family loves dirt track racing and don't want to see it deteriorate in Lawton any more.

Ha ha I wouldnt go back to Rawton if Lanny was at the turnpike booth plunking coins into the hopper and at Waynes Drive-In givin out free food. Waynes is really the thing about down there I miss. Race Track Burritos were pretty good tho.

I actually saw Sellers race Friday night at SFS and win the Champ A Feature. Great driving all the way through. I was in Lawton Saturday night and seen the whole show! I've watched Robert Sellers race for years and he's always been a clean driver with outstanding ability. The guys who talk crap about him are just jelous that he can outdrive them every time they hit the track. He has made the Lawton track worth going to for the past 2 years. With the exception of ezel and blomquist, they all drive clean and are fun to watch. Sellers, Harell, Middleton, Wolf, Lee, Gossman, Lair, Long race most weeks and I never seen any of them drive dirty. Only ezel and blomquist drive dirty. Saturday was no exception! Sellers made a clean pass and blomquist plain took him out on purpose. He should be suspended for dirty drivin. I don't blame Sellers for going after him. But Sellers just got to blomquists car when the track guys held him so that ezel could punch him from behind like the sissy he is! Sellers never saw him coming and he couldn't defend himself if he did because the sissys friends were holding him! When Sellers turned on ezel and pummelled hims 4 or 5 times we were all cheering for him to hit him some more - he had it comin!!! So if Sellers is suspended for 2 weeks like they say, then blomquist and ezel should be suspended too - grandsons or not - they were wrong!!! A lot of fans go to Lawton to see Sellers, Harrel, Lee, Middleton, Lair, Long and Gossman. If the only ones left are ezel and blomquist - why spend your 10 bucks. Although the Mods have been showing us some good racin this year (thanks guys!) - is't kinda the principle of the whole fairness thing now. And, I didn't see anyone go to the hospital - unless ezel went afterwards - Sellers smacked him around pretty good

I did not see Kyle Ezell's name on the results page... How was he involved? Did he come from the pits? Sounds like the sprint division needs a boycott. Let them start with 2 cars. That would be funny to see them take out each other... Some things will never change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the sissy one came from the weigh in area and sneaked up on Sellers from behind to sucker punch him while his buddies held his arms down. Sounds like a really fair fight huh? But Robert got some pretty good shots in before they grabbed him again!!! And it would serve them right if the Sprints, mods, and mini stocks all boycotted! I like all dirt track racin - all divisions - but it would serve Lanny right if all the fans boycotted too! Lets see how big the crown is when only fans of ezel and blomquist show up. That would be maybe a dozen fans or so I'd guess.

I understand that the whole incident was caught on video tape and there may be some legal action taken against those that were holding sellers while he was taking the beating. That would serve all involved some jail time where they could beat on some other meat.

Well I guess I will add my two cents. I can remember that we used to run Lawton pretty regular. Then there was the 10N car that took us out a couple of weeks in a row. So we quit comin. I would rather run with Robert and Shane Sellers than anybody else. They have always been very very clean and if I have a question about anything Robert has been more than helpful

Sellers isnt winning every weekend in okc because there is more great drivers like him up there!

There is probably 20 champ sprint drivers in okc that can come and clean up lawton,and sellers didnt run over the bloomjerk,he ran up under sellers!!

I'm glad you put your two cents in! I have heard that same thing about Robert and Shane from numerous other drivers! Great guys who got bad treatment from the "crew" at Lawton.

And, 10N is still driving dirty and taking people out.

Actually, the Mod division in Lawton is a pretty good one. Several drivers who could win on any given week. You'd enjoy some pretty good racing if ya do come. Best of luck to you

The Mod division is a good one. When the 33 or the 10N not racing as seen last saturday night.

And to think, people ask me why I don't race at Lawton. I think that these incidents are a pretty good answer. I wouldn't blame Robert for not wanting to run at Lawton anymore, regardless of the sponsorship money that was lost.

Sponsorship or not you just cant put up with that. Sometimes you just have to take a stand. I know of several other drivers that are not there this year because they are fed up also.

i heard the 02,54,05,21,99,4g,4 arent coming back but dont worry the 10k and the 14 will be there battling each other still...saturday night it looks like the 05 just needs to go to the city... the 4 car and the 21 car has both won features up there so there no need for them coming to lawton any ways!!!

You wont make much money if you continue loosing cars & then fans.

• I see nothing has changed in Lawton but this time the officials are saying the saw it and it was
• Roberts fault but we all know better and just like always it was the inability to make a call
• and that makes drivers take matters into their own hands I'm not sure if Robert did anything
• when he got to Bloomquest but I can't say if I blame him if he did knowing the officials are not going to
• do anything. Bloomquest ,Ezell and their pit-crews involved in the incident should be banned for
• two weeks also if not the racing association should not recognise any points for two weeks .
• as for Bloomquest he was not worth a damn as a flagman, mod, or sprint driver so maybe
• he needs to go back to mini-stocks I hear they slowed them down maybe he can handle that
• and Kyle I'm impressed to see you moved up to hitting on people even if it is from there blind
• side with someone holding him down I guess you figured out that beating on you car for your

I wasn't there thankfully, and I'm not a Robert Sellers fan but I'll keep the rest of that opinion to myself...can't be everybody's fan anyway. I do agree that all parties involved should be banned. Same thing with inspections. Even if you get puffed and the numbers keep coming up wrong, then they are illegal and should loose their points. Rules are rules. Why bother to even write them, if you are not going to enforce them at all times. All you get in the end are drivers wanting to race someplace where the rules are enforced and everything is fair instead of finding out that they busted their butts off fairly to get beat by someone who is cheating and it's ok for them to cheat. Same with the fighting. It shouldn't matter if it's family or not, there should be no favouritism and bending of the rules.
