The Outlaws are still around? I would have thought Highly Limited would have put them out of business by now? Weird.

Both good for sprint car racing. WOO has a greater following but HL has top quality drivers. When both series are running at same time it gives drivers a chance to make the feature that struggle when 50 teams show up. Just to run top 10 not easy when series both race together.Larson and Bell are good draws but have limited time from NASCAR commitments, Some love to see them win and many love to dee them lose but there is no question they help sell tickets

it has also been lost that:
the outlaws offer tow money and HL copied.
the outlaws have a dedicated announcer to the series and HL copied.
the outlaws added music to their presentation many moons ago and HL copied.
the outlaws offer a bonus for following the tour, so does HL (performance based at the very least)
'the Outlaws developed their own video platform (dirtvision), HL well, they paired with a video platform or are they owned by Flo. Either way, HL did not develop their own platform.
there are probably many more. You can pick and choose facts to support YOUR OWN WAY OF THINKING UNTIL THE COWS COME HOME!! As for me, I am going to sit back and enjoy both series and love it even more when they cross paths. Just enjoy folks!! There is enough stake in the game for many teams and drivers to make money and entertain us far more than just having one series!! Let's hope everyone is successful!!

Yes the Outlaws were clearly the leaders for a long period of time. But what about the past 2 - 3 seasons ? It looks like they are just following HL’s lead these days. They have made a few significant changes since 2021 which I listed earlier.
When HL started the Outlaws immediately improved safety, increased payouts, and provided some freedom for their drivers. These are all good for sprint car racing. Lets acknowledge that. Yet the owners of High Limit face constant criticism (on this site) for being greedy or cheating or only thinking of themselves. I think this competition is great for the sport. I think the recent Outlaws changes are great for sprint car teams and drivers. I think we are all lucky that Kyle & Brad care.
Maybe the Outlaws made some changes since 2021 (before HL did) that I missed. If so, please fill us in.

immediately improved safety.... Yes the traveling safety crew is good.
"The owners of HL face constant criticism for being greedy or cheating or only thinking of themselves" how many on here actually do this or think this? Constant criticism would not be an accurate statement.
Has any race series ever increased purses, tow money, benefits, in any series? If so they likely copied it from the HL crew. The criticism that I've mostly heard is the call that Kyle overroad a call regarding Rico, and Brad didn't get checked at the scale. IMO this should be critized and shouldn't happen.
The WOO have made minor changes, increases in the past, but now anytime someone makes a difference it's now highlighted and compared to the other series.
Keep It Real

There's enough high quality 410 teams out there for two national series
Right now, HL has a great, what I think of as All-Stars+ quality field of cars. And I loved All Star shows
The WoO still has overall the top overall talent. You'll see a great show at either of them.

?
$$$$----The Outlaws didn't increase purses, payouts, or points funds from 1978 to 2021? Wow! I'm sure glad the HL series came along to give them a nudge!
Safety----the WoO was constantly being criticized for safety requirements bringing car counts down at tracks because locals could not afford to implement them. Now we're to believe the WoO had not changed their safety requirements since 1978?
The owners of the High Limit face constant criticism for being greedy or cheating or only thinking of themselves? I'm so glad these same accusations have not been made against the WoO over the past couple of decades by the Outlaw haters. We live in America. It is our nature to assume anyone more successful than us got there by being underhanded and dirty. We don't pat those on the back who make something of themselves. We criticize. People have been whiny little babies about the WoO for decades when all they are doing is running a business. Now everyone has a bleeding heart for Brad and the HL when this is the exact same treatment all have been giving the WoO forever?

That's funny. You are older than many that post on this board, but you act more childish than most that post on this board.

Now thats funny beerz, LOL. It seems as though you've had enough beerzzz bro, age in your opinion is a factor, i agree. That puts you at the bottom of the sprint car food chain! So we can continue this childish behavior but the only child here is you.
You had a good point there though, to bad you hair covers it....see ya when youre an adult, onward!
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Now that's funny! Someone calls you out for being childish and immature and you reply by being childish and immature. That'll learn 'em!
The future of top-tier winged sprint car racing will not be decided in online pissing matches between passionate and frequently immature posters, no matter how wet they get.

Looks like there's a new head cheerleader on here, ya might wanna get a bigger outfit though your Depends are showing. Winged 410 racing is bigger than ever right now HL has proved there's room for both but you'd rather make petty arguments about who's better than who rather than just enjoy them both but oh well have fun with your stupid attention seeking BS.

My question is. Who will be first to have good wrecker crew travel with them? I watch some of these races on Flo and Dirtvision and think,
it has piss car owners off when their car is wrecked then more damage is done because there is not a good wrecker to get it off the track.

I wouldn't think this would ever happen. I don't know the answer to this question, but is there any other series with its own wrecker crew? I don't think Nascar does, but maybe I'm wrong. I was thinking the tracks supplied their own wreckers, but maybe I'm mistaken? Indy? F1?
On a side note, when I was the plant manager of a machining/fabrication shop, about 15 years ago we were awarded a project for Monster Jam. (we were awarded the project 2nd hand, not directly through Monster Jam) We built jib- lift attachments for skid loaders that would be kept at all of the major Monster Jam arenas. I think we built 14 or 15 of them if memory serves me. The trucks were then required to have hook points built around the truck so the lift could pull up to the truck and attach quickly to any point of the truck, no matter its orientation, and pick the truck up quickly and get the show on the road. I think we are to this point with sprint cars. It sure seems like too much time is spent figuring out how to lift a 1200 lb car off the track quickly. Multiple light-weight clevises could be mounted around the sprint car, tracks could have a jib, pull up, hook on, and get the car off of the track in 90 seconds, literally. Just me thinking. I know it's never going to happen, but watching the circus that is hooking up a sprint car to a wrecker drives me nuts when I know there is a simple solution to the problem.

I think the PowrI midget series had a few tow vehicles travel with them, they were small jeep like vehicles with a boom on the back. The tow vehicles were great for midgets, not sure they could tow a sprinter though. Maybe someone should start a traveling push/tow truck busines? Lots of advertising possibilities.

Gotcha. Good to know. Might be tough for a full-size sprinter, but always thought they could do something better. ??? Some of the removals from the track are insane!

Nobody in this thread has predicted the demise of the Outlaws. In fact, WoO has made a bunch of improvements and changes over the past 3 seasons. They will continue to do so. They have to because now they have competition.
So lets give credit where credit is due. Thanks Brad & Kyle !!

now finally someone here has rhe right attitude and response, and intelligence!!! "They have to because now they have competition"...
like I said, let the old timers head gaskets be blown.....LMFAO

No love for Tyler Walker?

Dangit, you beat me to it.
Last post on Facebook in May 2024 and it appears he is headed to rehab. Sucks, hope he can get well.
