I've seen a lot of talk on here from world of outlaws fans about how Carson Macedo is a missle and a dirty driver. Being from California and watching him in the Central Valley earlier in his career and never believed it and I thought it was just haters throwing stones. This last week, I watched him make some questionable moves in the midget at Tulare while taking the win, plain feed a right rear to a guy in the 360 winged sprint main destroying the guys car in the process of winning. Not a word about it in victory lane, just plain, took the guy out and not even a comment/apology/I F'd up. Then tonight he takes out CJ Leary for the lead going into turn 1 on a restart during the sprint car portion of turkey night to take the lead temporarily. I think maybe I'm starting to agree with y'all WoO fans...

The torpedo is very accurate even without the wing. Pretty crappy move dumping the leader but wasn't surprised. Dirtiest driver in sprints today.

Yeah I kind of held off on all the dumping on Macedo, but after last night, the criticism is warranted
Shame to see Yeley get a crappy dump move on him too

I've seen him drive like an idiot even before he was with the outlaws. It doesn't matter what type of car he drives he just loves to use up other people equipment. Seems like he has trouble passing lapped traffic cleanly just knocks them out of the way, he claims he is just giving it his all every lap. I hope he gets to eat some of that crap he's dishing out.

Never thought much of him after he took out Glatfelter on the first lap at a Lincoln all-star race a few years ago. He's become very good though. I'll give him that much. There's a few top drivers who were just like him when they started running with the WOO but have since toned it down a notch so maybe he will do the same. I got a little bit of a chuckle when he crashed by himself last night, kharma I guess.

That just proves he's willing to take anyone out even himself. Gotta admire the dedication to his craft.

Other drivers, who have raced with him, have said it was a bad weekend for him. Go listen to The Drivers Project podcast. It's an interesting perspective from a drivers POV.
Carson is very talented, has the funding, and is one of the top drivers on any tour. I've seen multiple times at different tracks where he fed someone a right rear, or a right front.
Last year there was a period of time where both Macedos took out multiple drivers. I heard in an interview of Carson, not sure it was post race, " I apologize b/c the perception is that I'm too aggressive", which IMO isn't really an apology.
Do we have a count on how many drivers have been "Macedo'd" this year?

I'm sure the count would be heavily inflated since that is what race fans tend to do in instances like this. While I will agree that Carson is aggressive and sometimes his own worst enemy (although has gotten better in some respects) I don't really see him making any more overly aggressive moves than others. I think he does not get the benefit of the doubt that some drivers get because the perception of some is that he is some rich kid with grandpa's money who bought his rides, even though he has wins and performance to back his ability too. The good thing is that he's a nice kid and he does admit when he makes mistakes which is admirable. I'm sure it won't matter if he goes 50+ races without being in a wreck but the next one he gets into people will be up in arms complaining he did it again even though you could probably list 5-10 other drivers who have been in more with less said about them.

I have had this impression for several years without knowing (and still don't know ) that he is a rich kid.

"He's a nice kid and he does admit when he makes a mistake" Are you serious? First of all, he's not a kid. He's an adult and takes zero accountability his actions. This is a pattern for him.
Just these past 2 weeks alone during the West Coast swing clearly illustrates he needs an ass whipping.

Didn't know anything about his financial backing or his family ties. Didnt know and dont care. My stance comes from what I have watched for years and the scrap metal he leaves in his wake. Also no way he goes 50 races without taking somebody out. No way

Both the brothers over do the aggressive bit and I'm surprised they haven't been tuned up by other drivers yet. Older time racers that owned and drove their own equipment would have laid them out by now.

Nick, I normally agree with your POV, however I think the opinion or perception from both fans and drivers are warranted. I can't name another driver that has dumped more guys this year than Carson.I don't really care if he's rich or not. He's been very polite and kind when I've had any interactions with him. I think the thing that I would like to see is " hey I'm sorry " but that rarely occurs.
And yes, if you have a reputation for being "dirty" then you're going to be more scrutinized. That's with everything in life.
We can probably agree as well that not all wrecks are a result of dirty driving, but can be considered "racing deal".

I think he's saying that now that people of normal intelligence have weighed in on the the topic he gets it. Glad to be of service!
