I don't know what to think about this. I can't stand the guy or his brother. However, in his prime, he was one of the few talents in Nascar that I feel could be a universal driver and could have excelled in any type of car. I put very few current drivers in the pool of Bell, Larson, Gordon and Smoke. (I'd include Ricky in there, but he's kinda just meh when it comes to stock cars---though he does throw a mean punch) The majority of the Nascar field is only there because of the power of money (much like it's been for decades and decades so not complaining) and don't possess the kind of skill he has. Obviously there was family money involved with Busch's success as well, but he also possessed the talent----and a lot of it!
Kyle Busch 2025 version might be too late to make noise at the Chili Bowl, and what I mean by "make noise" is make it up to the B or C. I don't think you'll see him sniff higher than the C or D, but at the end of the day, he's got a lot of raw talent so anything is possible. I predict an E-main Saturday night exit and only because he will likely have the same caliber car as the winner.

Agree, would be shocked if he's good enough to get any better than the D. He will be getting some time in the midget out west for a few races and will be running the Tulsa shootout too. His size is a minor negative but he will be in top notch equipment.

The dude in the twilight of his career just wants to race and is in a position to do it on other people's money, so that makes you kind of gay for attempting to shit on it. That's the short version of what I think.
He won the mid-week Micro championship at Millbridge this year so I'm afraid the people hoping for him to fail miserably will be disappointed. He's too old and fat to make the A. No one's a genius for pointing that out. So's a whole long list of other drivers that will be there.

I'd bet he just wants to drive a real racecar at least once before he retires...

At least he is an actual credentialed driver. The CB could stand to weed out about a hundred of the soccer kids and old timers treating it like a fishing trip.

I missed the part where he tried to "shit on it." He asked for comments. I gave an honest assessment, and he agreed. He's a tremendous talent, has plenty of financial backbone, and should do what he wants. He missed his window to compete with the level of guys/gals running this event.
Now, after making a complementary and honest assessments, nothing changes the fact that he's a class-A butthole along with his fake-ass brother who put on a fake face and pretended to be a changed, better person when he's still the same jackass he's always been. I'd rather he just remain a total jagbag like Kyle than fake being nice. But both are complete tools. Sounds like Kyle is passing it onto his son too.........

A little digging would probably find half of you clowns saying the same thing about a certain driver in 2006. I'm not saying that Kyle will win it, but anyone who has been watching him in the micros knows that he is a wheel man and shouldn't be under estimated.

He will be a non factor running somewhere way down the alphabet. I also predict he is upside down at some point during the week.

I couldn't stand the guy either but his credentials speak for themselves. Hes only 39. 39!! I'm thankful he's been "playing" in the dirt. It's good for the sport.
He played the villian role well in his time at Nascar.
Multi cup series champion. Won at the brickyard, won the xfinity series championship.

I agree let him play. The added publicity is always good. I just viewed a video of him practicing the car #51. Who owns the car he is to drive?

With very, very few exceptions... no one just hops in a midget at the Chili Bowl and makes the B, let alone the A
Kudos to Kyle for trying this. He's humbled himself a lot over the years. Count me one as never having been a fan, but him posting that video of himself trying to get his fat butt out of the midget has me actually cheering for him a bit in Tulsa!

He also hired one of the best midget/ micro mechanics in the world. Big Al Scroggins.
