the guy can wheel it, he qnd schatzie (from 20th to second) put on a show, swapping sliders to the end....amazing racing. I would venture there were at least 25K in attendance 50/50 was $82,000!!!

Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Congratulations to King David. Awesome job by Donnie Schatz driving to the front. Eldora did not disappoint.

Im not a Gravel fan by any means in fact just the opposite but he started on the pole because he earned that right throughout the night in a 62 car field. I hear alot of people say " well he won but he started on the pole..... well you have to qualify and race your way into that spot. Everyone is given the oppurtunity to start on the pole each night.

Larson needs a better 1/2 mile program? I was in attendance at Knoxville in June. No one----NO ONE----was on the same level as Larson in race conditions. It wasn't even close. He had a mechanical failure after checking out on night 1---after starting 10th, and taking the lead on lap 16!. On night 2, he ran from deep in the field to 3rd in 25 laps. If it were August 10th, he'd have 25 more laps to get the last 2.
He had a bad showing at Eldora in 2024. He is a recent winner at Eldora. He's the defending Knoxville Nats champ. I would relax on the knee-jerk reactions.

What a lot of people dont understand is how long he stood beside his car and took pics with every fan acting like they where in victory lane with him.
He was probably more tired from photos than he was racing.
I literally got exhausted leaning against a rig just watching him for hours after the race.
He treated every fan from the checkered flag to the last call like they were the most important people in his world at the moment.
Dirt tracking racing is unlike any sport in the world. When my hero wins, I get a selfie, a conversation, and maybe his right rear tire!
I rarely get to go to big events anymores, but I still love how our top superstars still treat their fans.
I hope it never changes.

It took Schatz years to run like he is this year without Ricky. All I have to say is - It is about time!
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!
