Is there a market for older issues of Open Wheel Magazines - I have 100+ issues dating back to 1982.  Located in Sioux Falls.

I asked the same question in years past and got crickets for a response.

I don't remember when/where, but I remember there was a guy selling them from the trunk of his car before an outlaw race.   I forget what he was charging, but it was not much.   I did ask him if he wanted me to buy me out of my collection and he had a rapid response of no.    Seemed like it was a lot of work for not a lot of return.

I have thought about boxing them up and trying to run the entire collection through one of the racers auction in the winter.

I must own the other set of Open Wheel Magazines in Sioux Falls. I can honestly say that the resale value is about zero. I have the whole set. Cover price would add up to about $600. I've tried various times to sell them with no luck at all. Magazines in general  are going away in a hurry. It used to be that you'd see Open Wheel Magazine #1 on e-bay for $20. But you'd also see a dozen more, and nobody buying them. If you find a buyer, see if they want two sets. wink

I know this seems blasphemous but I eventually packed up my OW/ SC&M issues from about 1987 to 2015 and threw them all into the local recycling dumpster.

Mine will probably go the same way (1982 thru 1998) - always read cover to cover as soon as they arrived; fun to guess who Tom Savage was highlighting each issue (that should be worth at least $1/issue just for the memories).  I can hear it now, "who's Tom Savage?".  For me, at age 72, this means a couple less boxes someone else will have to deal with.

I donated mine to the museum in Knoxville.  They resold them.

I'm saving my old racing memorabilia.

My wife has an estate sale business. This is her life. If you need a source for yardsticks, Precious Moments figurines or every issue of National Geographic magazine, drop me a line. I have connections. Smile

Tried to send an email but the system gives me an error.  If you haven't dumped the magazines already, post a response as I am interested.  Thanks!
