Please act surprised, wonder why there are not more cars, and put comments here. We can copy and paste them for the 2022 edition.

Are you following this race so far? When I would go to the races at Black Hills Speedway as kid in the mid-seventies, the lights would fail in turns 1and 2 a lot. Looks like that never got fixed.
They have a 19 car field with two heat races. Because of the lateness of the hour, 8:00, they're going to run the complete the entire sprint portion of the show first.

I think it represents the demise of the Outlaws and 410 racing in general.... just like it does every year.

Sad to see the car count but the track looks like it needs some work..Not the best night..Hope we don't have to watch the tin benders before the feature..Johnny trying to make it exciting but not working..Hope Schatz has a good night...Speedway kinda looks like its run like a Mickey mouse outfit..Hope the tour at Skagit is better..

Can we just include Big Sky Speedway too? Although they did take it off the schedule this year.

Don't be surprised to see the same thing next weekend for three nights at Skagit. There's exactly one driver here that will put a 410 motor in his car (Jason Solwild). Skagit is exclusively a 360 track and has been for years now. Rico has stated he will come north for the weekend. I have doubts any other CA drivers will make the trip.

Linda painful to watch the track let them race on a track with an obvious debris issue. That shit costs money. The 41 team lost $500 in tires plus a decent chunk in purse money, and the 9 team lost a whole lot in tires and parts, plus purse money. So, during the red flag, dis track workers scour the surface for debris, or do we get to watch another car get trashed due to a crappy surface?

So why did the outlaws make the one ole boy go to the pits for "2 yellow flags with no contact" and then Macedo cuts 2 tires with no contact and he's magically allowed back on the track a 3rd time. I know the proper answer is the outlaws give special treatment to their platinum guys.

A good guess is because there's a rule that says two unassisted spins and you're done. I don't believe there;s a rule that says 2 blown tires and you're done.

Correct. But the conspiracy theories continue to fly.

Agreed. Grays Harbor will likely have a pathetic count too. They won't get decent car counts again until Chico. The only hope for better counts is the fact that Skagit is paying more than normal ( I think) so maybe they'll draw some guys up from California.

I am pretty sure Wayne got a negative covid test. He said he just felt like crap. There is a lack of cars all over country. Penn. and Ohio have had problems with car count. I would guess that 6 of the blackhills cars were 360 and some not so good of 360. If you had a track that there was only 1 410 car in the entire state, would you schedual a race there? This shows that WOO can not operate without local cars. In cases like rhis could the WOO offer tow money to 410 cars in states around Dekotas?

Typically you get a couple of guys to follow the tour as it migrates west. Guys like Rico or Dom Scelzi. The weird schedule this year had them going west and then back east to Nebraska only to go back west. Nobody followed them so they had this deal. It happens every so often and should not be read into too much. Of course it will be and that was the purpose Of the thread.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, just answering your question and making a comment.
1. If I had a track where there was only 1 410 car in the entire state, would I schedule a race there? I would if I could fill the stands enough every year to pay the bill. It's all business. I would expect them back again if they turned a profit and anticipate turning another in 2022. If they don't, they won't be back------car count or no car count.
2. The WoO have never been able to operate without local cars----since 1978. They may have had tons of cars on the World of Outlaws posters, but if you look back at the points since inception, this is one of the bigger groups they have had in a long time. Nothing has changed there.

I think it has to do with geography
The 6 local cars were probably 360's because that's what they race there.
The "only 1 410 car in the state" comment is just ignorant. Husets Speedway had 24 410's last night. The extra 410 at Black Hills Speedway last night was Kevin Ingle, the only 1 410 in Huron S.D. He did about as well as he usually does in these sorts of situations.
Back to geography...
Black Hills Speedway is on the west end of South Dakota. Husets Speedway, which has a weekly 410 program, is on the east end. They are about 360 miles apart. Who could justify driving 720 miles round trip on a Sunday night to get trounced by the WoO drivers? If you owned a team, how much tow money would you have to have to make to make it worth your time?
I think the next 410 track going west is probably on the west coast.

"If you had a track that there was only 1 410 in the entire state, would you schedule a race there?" An entirely Ignorant statement as there are several quality 410's in the state of SD. Now, had you said you referenced the fact that the Black Hills race was scheduled on the exact same night the majority of the 410's in SD run at their home track, Husets Speedway it would have been much more intellig comment. In fact Husets had a 24 car feature last night with, I'd venture, 90% of the cars from the Dakotas.
"This shows the WoO can not operate without local cars." That literally has been the point since the WoO inception. A band of traveling Outlaws pull into town to take on the best the locals have to offer
