Sad to report that Steve Stroud passed away yesterday. He was the founder of the Arizona Open Wheel Racing Museum and owner of Hose Advantage & Racer Advantage stores.
In addition, he not only sponsored cars, but helped many racers behind the scenes. He will be missed.
Rest in Peace.

STEVE STROUD, 68
Phoenix, AZ......Steve Stroud, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Open Wheel Racing Museum in Phoenix, passed away Wednesday night at the age of 68. One of our sport's most ardent supporters, he sponsored events and teams through his Arizona companies, Parker Store, Hose Advantage Store and Racers Advantage Store. USAC extends its sincerest condolences to the entire Stroud family and his many friends in the sport. A memorial celebration is being planned and will be announced when firm.

This makes me very, very sad. Steve was a heck a good man. He did more for the racers behnd the scenes than alot of people realize. A true class act.
I was looking forward to seeing him at his store the weekend during the annual Manzy fans gatheringand get together at his museum.
RIP, sir.
