Yes, fans do lose, but it's Chuck vs. Knoxville. Todd is keeping his word saying he will not compete with Knoxville. Why don't you people get it? Badlands is the problem!

Actually he said they would not compete against another weekly program on their night,Please tell me what BMS is competing against Knoxville when they get absolutely no knoxville regulars ever, not counting on the three that do this for a living. Why don't you people get that, nothing but a big case of butt hurt. A lot of other nights other than Fri, Sat and Sunday to run on, god forbid knoxville ever run a show on another night( oh that's right Saturday is the best night for them) and BMS probably thinks the same thing.

Again you have it backwards. Who was it that switched racing nights? I was looking forward to the new "Huset's"/Badlands, being less than 2 hours away. Weekly shows and NSL shows, on Sunday night like it's been since I can remember. I and many others actually get one less night of 410 action. Why don't you get that?

They switched nights because Sunday night is a tough sell to families and working folks. Saturday night is much better for most fans and teams. And truthfully, I doubt they care too much about fans that are two hours away when Sioux Falls is right there with 180k people. You can still come out Sunday night to see 360s if you want.

Oh yeah I read it. It's just to let the whiney baby know he can still come out on Sunday.

Calling me a whiney baby only reaffirms your lack of IQ. Why so defensive? Maybe when there is a rain out on Saturday in Brandon we can venture over for a Sunday night 410 show. On Saturday night I'll either be in Knoxville or watching Knoxville on PPV. There just might be some weekends when we all win.

I apologize, there was no need for me to call you any names. I'm just frustrated with all of the complaining going on about badlands. You're probably in the minority where you could go to one or the other. Most casual fans are going to stick to their home track. Knoxville to Brandon is 4 hours and 45 minutes to Google maps. That's why I just don't think it's a big deal if badlands runs Saturday, there's just not that much overlap with drivers, fans, etc.

Accepted! And I shouldn't have challenged your IQ so I'm sorry for that. If Badlands can bring more than a couple of the ND drivers down then for sure a good thing will have come from moving to Saturday nights for the immediate area. If car counts remain under 20 for the 410's then maybe not. When Knoxville rains out it is usually made known fairly early, so we haven't ruled out a Saturday run to Badlands when that happens. Depends on the field of cars. We'll probably never know what three tracks could have worked out together regarding their weekly shows and shared NSL shows unless something changes down the road, and to me that is the disappointing aspect of what has taken place.  I think a "trifecta" of tracks and the right money would have ackomplished a lot for the fans, the teams and the tracks. With Knoxville, Tod Quiring and Chuck Brennan the right money was in place. One year of that and we would have known.

I doubt sammy would have ran Husets/Badlands regardless of who owns it.  I don't see why this is such a big deal.  Also in regards to rainouts and such, whos to say that Knoxville wont announce their rainouts until later so cars dont go to Badlands or vice versa.  I would hope Knoxville would be the bigger person and not do that but i have seen racetracks do that before.  I just hope both do well and continue to promote sprint car racing in the ever growing midwest sprint car scene.

I don't think Sunday's was a problem. There was (and my guess is going to be) more fans in the stands on Sundays than Saturdays.  I think SF has too much going on on Saturday nights.  I think people take their families out camping and to ball games on weekends and then sneak off to the races Sunday night. It's a Sunday tradition so strong I don't know if it can be overcome. I'm not criticising there plans. Just My opinion.

Basically I think more fans will stay home to do "family stuff" onSaturdays than were kept home due to working to early Monday.

And as far as Kville and Husets Competing against each other, its not what it is. It's what it could have been... We could have had the best 3 nights of racing in the entire country. Yay for getting the purses up. Boo to not seeing the bigger picture for sprint car racing...

That's a good point about what could have been. Badlands would have had the worst night of the week though. I know Sunday is tradition but I've talked to several people who are excited and plan on going now since its on Saturday.

I'm really hoping that they attract more casual fans who might not have gone otherwise. The new night and facilities should help. Racing is family stuff btw.

I don't know that I can say Its a worse night.

I know I90 isn't Husets. And I know they don't run 410s. But if Husets averaged say 4,000 people. How come I90 can only mustard maybe 1000 on the 'better' night...

And what I 'hear' is complete opposite. It's 10-1 upset about sat night. Not happy... Again. I'm not bitchin. I'm not criticising... I'm just sayin.

How many 410 teams can afford to compete 3 nights in a row on a weekly basis? Sunday night seems like a death sentence if your trying to attract the same cars that raced Fri and Sat night 4 to 500 miles away. But from what Im reading here, we are only talking about 3 or 4 teams that might race all 3 or at least Knox Sat and Huslands Sunday. So, other than the 4 teams who can't race sat and sun, and the new owner that Hoseheads has written off as a spoiled rich guy with a Knoxville axe to grind. Other than those 2 issues, what is the big deal about Huslands running Saturday nights?

The teams are 2-3-4 and 5 hours away, not 400-500 miles away. And you are correct. Most teams can't do it under the current structures. The real problem today is the ridiculously low to start money in the A Main and B Feature money.....Knoxville, NSL and Badlands. In that I will criticize all three! After 4 or 5 spots in the A Main the payback absolutely sucks! It's nice that these tracks are spending millions of dollars to upgrade, improve and build impressive venues. Why not invest some of that money long term in to the purses throughout the field? Invest in the race teams and that may lead to new teams moving up from the lower classes. The healthier and larger the fields are, the larger the gate. Hell I'd go to a shit box track if it drew 35-40 cars every week. These owners that are investing millions in these tracks are sure planning on a return and profit on their investment. The amount invested tells me that the return is anticipated to be pretty healthy!
