How or what is this as opposed to the All Stars?
|
Here is part of the press release from back in December. It is supposed to be a stepping stone to the All Stars from what is stated below. From the looks of the schedule it appears that there are a few OSCS vs FAST or OSCS/FAST sanctioned races at the same track on the same night at Fremont on 6/11 and Atomic on 8/20.
Like said before this now leaves Ohio with All Stars, FAST, OVSCA and OSCS in Ohio. I believe most of these series will be able to survive. When I went to the All Star Performance calendar and put all 4 series in it looks like there are too many conflicts. Whenever the All Stars are out of state it looks like the other series are racing. If the All Stars are in Ohio they are off
**Official Release from Atomic Speedway*** It's here...... The Ohio Sprint Car Series (OSCS) will make its debut March 26, 2016 at Atomic Speedway. This series will be an Ohio based series that may venture into surrounding states in the coming months. The innagural season will feature 20 or so races with Atomic Speedway being the series home track. "So many drivers have asked me to start a series where they can travel and be paid decent, so that's what I am going to give them" said OSCS series promoter Brad McCown. This will be a series made as a stepping stone to the All Stars and WoO paying medium purse $2,500-$3,000 to win. Brad also said "We had a quick meeting with the All Stars and have their blessing and guaranteed no scheduling conflicts" Several sponsors have been interested in joining us and we will have a points fund as well. Tracks and dates will be announced soon. I'd like to thank all the tracks and drivers who expressed interest in doing this deal and promise we will put on a great show at each venue.
