We have a big weekend of 410 sprint car racing coming up in Sydney, Australia. The Scott Darley Challenge is being held on Friday and Saturday evening at Valvoline Raceway. Seventy nine teams have registered for the event. US drives who will complete include:
- Kraig Kinser
- Jason Sides
- Kylie Hurst
- Carson Macedo
- Brad Sweet
- Randy Hannigan
It is really good to see "The Hurricane" back at Sydney after a long absence.
All the top Australian teams have entered including Jamie Veal, James McFadden, Australian Champion David Murcott, current track champion James Thompson and both Kerry and Ian Madsen. Brad Sweet has dominated the racing at VR since he arrived. It is going to be interesting to see how he does against the stellar field this weekend.

Is it true they have over 120 entries for the Upcoming Classic at Warrnambool? Valvoline (PCR) and Warnambool were my two favorite tracks there, can't remember ever seeing a bad night of racing at either place....

The classic has 123 drivers entered. Valvoline Raceway has also been getting great car counts this season with an average of 60 cars plus for weekly racing and 75 for this weekend.
