The annual Nebraska Cup at Eagle, presented by the Nebraska Lottery, which had been a 360 winged sprint event in the past is now a sprint car extravaganza featuring the National Sprint League 410's. This year also is a 9/11 tribute.

The fire-breathers will be battling on the high banks of America's Home Track for a top prize of $3,911 to honor those who fell on that tragic day.

Support class for the evening will be the Precise Racing Products Sprint Series of Nebraska Racesaver IMCA Sprints who will be trying to take home the top money of $911; also in honor of those heroes.

There will be a Ground Zero Challenge during intermission and the 50/50 drawing will benefit the Shriners.

I'm thinking about making the 3 hour and 15 minute trip to this race. I went to a couple Nebraska Cups when I lived closer to Eagle while at college and they were always fun races. Will they attempt to run the program through at a quick pace?

Just a little over 9 hours before the front gates swing open for this year's Nebraska Cup! Hot laps will kick off at 6:30 with racing at 7:30.

You won't want to miss the NSL 410's and the Racesaver Sprints from the Sprint Series of Nebraska on the world's fastest 1/3 mile! Those high banks make for some of the greatest racing anywhere!!!!!
