 I hope everyone going to Knoxville has a great time . You know the Knoxville Nationals is a week or two weeks of racing that all fans  should take in at least once in your lifetime or more if you can make it back .Its not all about the racing , its the  NSCHOF , THE TOWN ,THE IOWA STATE FAIR, THE PEOPLE or fans who come from all over the US ,Australia , New Zealand, Canada and more countries that are well represented, the midway of vendors, the camping , the parties of friends, the  food that is second to none , Iowa Speedway , meeting drivers from all over that you don't always see , and more that I may have left out . Everyone has a reason to go to Knoxville , SO GO WHEN YOU CAN IF YOU'VE NEVER BEEN AND HAVE FUN,AS RACING IS GREAT FUN .

The Knoxville Nationals for 2015 start next Wednesday, August 12.  The rest of this stuff is just fluff.

robertaltman describes it well......Been going to the nationals since 1972....used to go for Fri-Sat.....but the last 30 years in a row it has been for all four nights....the only way to go! As for the "fluff" only being "fluff"......I must say that the "fluff" is also part of the Nationals and I wouldn't want it any other way. That's what makes it a happening....an event not to be missed once you establish the connection to it. And as you make freinds that you only see in one place and only once a year, it becomes a reunion, also. And when one or more of those aquantances is absent, and don't make it back, it does leave a void because of the unknown as to why or what has caused the absence. Because truth is, you knew very little about them outside of the racing enthusiasm. It's more than a race....but it is the greatest racing event of the year!
