I was just looking at the IMCA sprint car standings.  Can someone explain to my why none of the Nebraska/Eagle/SSN racers appear to be listed in the IMCA Sprint points?  I don't understand how some of the lower guys on there, who are racing against 4-6 cars per night are in the top 20 and no one from Eagle is?

Clint Benson is in 4th place, currently 17 points out of the lead.

A lot of the rest of the are from Texas and Oklahoma. they get about a 2 month (or better) jump on the Nebraska area drivers. Plus, both Eagle Raceway and the Sprint Series of Nebraska have been plagued with a LOT of rainouts.

Clint is so high because he races at tracks other than Eagle Raceway or with the SSN.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks

Yes....IMCA and Racesaver joined forces last winter.....I believe the current member list has doubled this season.....although slow starting in some areas, business is picking up, and as of today 90 cars pre-registered for the 3rd annual IMCA Racesaver Sprintcar Nationals at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska over Labor Day weekend (see other thread on this subject), which preceed the IMCA Supernationals in Boone, Iowa the following week.......................SC

"Plus, both Eagle Raceway and the Sprint Series of Nebraska have been plagued with a LOT of rainouts".....thats true "Shack, and some Nebraska driver's, with alot of win,s having to miss points nights for one reason or another.......but also, certain areas of Texas were hammered by rain this spring .....so it will come down to the wire again this year with the driver's best finishes in the maximum amount of starts counted for the final points........hopefully all can get more shows in and fill their plate by season's end..................SC
