Craig Dollansky was supposed to be on the show but had something come up. James McFadden joined the show and talked about a variety of topics, including dished wings, which was unexpected.

We are hoping to reschedule Dollansky. Who else would you like to hear on the show?

Im sure Danny DIetrich would provide some interesting answers provided the right line of questioning.  What about Rico?  Im not 100% sure who you've had on as a guest in the past.  I just started listening recently and am enjoying the podcast though.  You and John are doing good work.

Anyone who supports a format change for the national open. Imagine the possibilities if those three days were used differently....love the show btw

How about getting the Pink Haired Lady on. I also liked when you had Alan Kreitzer on. How about instead of putting on front runners and feature winners , why not have some middle / low budget drivers on sometimes and get their veiws?

As much as I would like that, it's really tough to get her. We will be working a little harder on our guest list, so getting drivers with lower budgets is definitely a possibility. Thanks for the feedback.

How about Charlie Paige at the end of the season when he might be willing to speak his mind about the state of dirt track racing in central PA?

Kathy Hughes for sure. I'd love to hear her explain why the crowds keep getting worse and why she won't take the money she spends on the numerous fireworks displays and put it into the purse instead to try and help the car counts. There's a lot of criticism surrounding the Grove. Most is justified, some isn't but I'd like to hear her take on it.

Interesting thing in this week's show in regards to wings. James McFadden eluded to difference in dished wings in Australia. Liked dished better. McFadden was a really good interview.

Australia sprint cars get to utilize the wing that was allowed in 2007 and prior.

The rule makers said the 2007 and prior wing was to good- so new rules was made for the current wings in USA.

Can't argue with what they have done with Late Model racing. Went through a bad spell and now seem to be thriving ... at least when it comes to the series events and bigger shows. They are like locust.

Would love to hear Mark Smith go into detail about the differences between 358, 360, and 410 racing.

I'm sure we will have him on at some point this season.

It was an eye-opener to some when they compared the right rear tire of a late model to that of a sprint car (at the World Finals).

The right rear tire of the late model is considerably smaller in circumference and width. The late model also weighs twice as much as a sprint car, but yet, uses half the tire.

At one time the late models had wedge bodies and plexiglas wings and sideboards all over them and they also used a big soft floppy right rear tire. When they finally outlawed the wedge bodies and went to the harder and smaller tire, the racing arguably got a whole lot better. Those who have been advocating for smaller and harder tires for sprint cars say that something could be learned from the late models.

I've had an ongoing argument/debate with a couple of drivers who want to solely blame the racetrack when, on occasion, the racing isn't what we hope it would be. If it weren't for the late model race, where they were passing, I'm sure those guys would still say it was the fault of the racetrack and that it "was too fast" and not slick enough for the sprint cars. But the argument goes right out the window when the late models were able to pass and put on a good race on the same racetrack. - Brad Doty
