I would say you can pretty much call off the points race now. Schatz has 5 wins already this year. He didn't get his 5th win last year until the very last day of May. He's probably gonna crack 30 wins this year. Impressive as hell.

Agreed, I dont see anybody that can compete with that team this year.

Schwartz is the class of not only the WOO but he is the best winged sprint car driver in the world. Personally, I would rather watch the NSL drivers. Deeper talent pool in the NSL than the WOO,

NSL for sure has more capable drivers that could win on any night.

The relative talent pool is better in NSL but I absolutely disagree with the deeper statement.
Each of the top 13 in current WoO points would be a competitor for the NSL title. I can only give the same credit to 4 or 5 NSL drivers. There will be more competition in NSL but only because there isn't an outlier like the WoO has with the 15.

Outlaws took the top 9 spots each night at Calistoga. Do you think there are 9 NSL teams that could go to a track they see twice a year and take the top 9 spots? McCarl ran the first 10 or so races with the outlaws and while he won a race he was overall 10th in points after those races. Not sure I see a deeper pool there.

The top Tier outlaw teams(15/9/49/2/71/29) would destroy the NSL in a seson. But I feel the NSL could be more entertaining to watch due to the amount of teams that can win against that competition.

That makes sense to me too...
But you know his name isn't "Schwartz", right?

I don't think he was saying NSL is better, just more competetive among themselves, therefore more entertaining. Makes sense to me....

None of the NSL vs WoO comparisons even matter because one series is a truly "National" series and the other just uses that term in its name. As long as the NSL is a midwest only deal it wont matter to most sprint car fans around the country. Don't get me wrong I think the series is a good idea, the name on the other hand is silly. Unless the plan is to venture out to the whole country its strange to call it "National" anything. Fans in the midwest are fortunate this year as they will get to see a lot of good racing from several good series so enjoy it.
Cheers!
