Hold the presses.......now hearing Loyet may be having a tire issue. Will have to wait for official results from track.

If you ran an illegal tire, you didn't win, you cheated right??

A famous quote from a demo derby driver at Las Vegas some years back on the late Speed Channel, "It ain't cheatin if you don get caught."
I talked to someone who works on the pit crew for a sprint after church yesteday morning and he did not know that Loyet had been DQ. He said he wondered how Loyet was running on the bottom and coming off the turns so well. I expect some of the other drivers suspected something was up.

Wrong compound sounds like a crew screwup, nothing more. If you are going to "cheat" on tires you dope them.

He had on an H15 RR. That tire is legal with every 410 track and series that I know of, at least in the midwest. But it's not at Farmington. Their rules say Med RR only. Same tire that ASCS runs of which Brad had plenty in the trailer. I don't think he was trying to cheat. He said he thought it was same rules as MOWA where that tire would be legal. His fault for not verifying the rules at that track. Kudos to the tech man for finding and calling it.

So, he ran a race and didn't check the rules for that race? Sorry, I don't buy the "we put the wrong tire on" excuse from ANY racer. First order of business should be to find out the rules before you ever run a single lap.
I'm not saying he intentionally cheated, but the bottom line is he ran an illegal tire, which is cheating...

Attica and Fremont both have the Medium tire rule for their weekly shows.
Sounds like an honest mistake and I bet they will ask before going to a new track or series in the future. IRA are not going to allow the HR-15 RR so any outsider that comes in better check their RR they put on.

Didn't realize some OH tracks ran that tire too. Farmington does it for a little cost savings. The MED does last longer and can run multiple nights for a lot of guys. I wouldn't mind if everyone ran only it.

Huset's Speedway runs the Medium tire weekly as well. No "H"'s allowed there either.
Simple case of not knowing the rule. A mistake I bet they don't make again.
