Dave Helm Memorial coming up on October 13 at Thunderbowl Raceway
Tulare, CA - August 24, 2007... The Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway will present the Dave Helm Memorial featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Series on Saturday night October 13. Don’t miss your final chance of the season to watch the best sprint car drivers on the planet take on Tulare’s exciting 1/3 mile clay oval. Come witness Knoxville Nationals champ Donny Schatz, 20 time WOO champ Steve Kinser, former WOO champ Danny Lasoski and former Kings Royal champ Joey Saldana take on California’s best including Tim Kaeding, Jonathan Allard and Brent Kaeding.
The event on October 13 will pay honor to longtime car owner Dave Helm who passed away in February. Helm campaigned a sprint car on the World of Outlaws Sprint Series tour for many years and had an extreme passion for the sport. His family will be honored on the track during the event and it will be a special night for everybody involved. Helm’s Selma Shell Racing sprint car driven by Kerry Madsen will be a center of attention all night as he seeks his first career Thunderbowl victory.
All seating will be reserved with bleachers costing $40 and grandstands $45. For tickets call 559-688-0909. Gates will open at 5 pm with racing expected to get underway around 7.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Series always put on a can’t miss show at the Thunderbowl. To top it all off the Thunderbowl Raceway recently had new clay added to the surface which should make the Dave Helm Memorial one of the best events of the 2007 season in the Central Valley.
