FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is the World of Outlaws World Finals on November 1, 2 and 3?

A: The World of Outlaws World Finals is the championship event for both the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and the World of Outlaws Late Models. However, what makes the event so special, is that the greatest superstars in dirt racing have never raced on the same track on the same night. Never before have race fans been able to see the likes of Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz, Danny Lasoski, Joey Saldana, Craig Dollansky, Jac Haudenschild, Terry McCarl, Paul McMahan and all of the winged warriors on the same card as Steve Francis, Chub Frank, Rick Eckert, Clint Smith, Shane Clanton, Josh Richards, Darrell Lanigan and all of dirt racing's stock car stars.

Q: What is the special $59 ticket offer people keep telling me about?

A. For a limited time, you can purchase a three-day reserved seat for just $59 and it includes a pit pass voucher redeemable for all three-days of action (must be 14 years of age or older to enter pit area). There is also a three-day reserved seat option for children (12 & under) for just $19.

Q: How do I get tickets?

A. Call (800) 455-FANS (3267), www.lowesmotorspeedway.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or visit the Lowe's Motor Speedway Box Office on the second floor of Smith Tower (the large blue building at the main entrance to the superspeedway).

Q: When is the cutoff for the free pit pass offer?

A: Saturday, September 22, 2007.

Q: Will I still be able to purchase the special $59 ticket offer after single-day tickets go on sale?

A. Yes. You will be able to purchase them up until Wednesday, October 31.

Q: When will single-day tickets go on sale?

A: Monday, September 24, 2007.

Q: How much are single-day tickets?

A: Thursday – $10 Adults/$5 Children (12 & under). Friday – $35 Adults/$10 Children (12 & under). Saturday – $35 Adults/$10 Children (12 & under).

Q: Is reserved seating available?

A. All seating at The Dirt Track is reserved with the majority of the seats featuring aluminum seat backs.

Q: Can I purchase pit passes in advance?

A. Yes. You will be issued a voucher to be turned in at the Pit Shack located outside of the main entrance to the Pit Area. Here you will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability and be issued a wristband.

Q: How much will single-day pit passes be?

A: Thursday – $15. Friday – $40. Saturday – $40. Three-day Combo – $60.

Q: What is the age limit for the pit area?

A. Only persons aged 14 years of age or older will be permitted in the pit area. Persons aged 14, 15, 16 and 17 must submit a fully-executed minor "Parental Consent, Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement/Minor's Assumption of Risk and Release and Waiver of Liability." These are available online at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com/waivers.

Q: Will I be able to upgrade my ticket to include a pit pass?

A. Yes. Pit pass upgrades will be $10 per day.

Q: What is the daily schedule?

A. Assuming good weather and comfortable temperatures, the daily schedule will be as follows: 12 p.m. – Pit gate opens. 4 p.m. – Spectator gates open. 6 p.m. – Hot laps. 7 p.m. – Racing. However, the event is being "flex-scheduled."

Q: What is "flex-scheduling?"

A. In an effort to maximize everyone's experience, Lowe's Motor Speedway and World of Outlaws officials will be keeping an eye on the long-range weather forecast. If it appears that the temperatures are going to be uncomfortably cold, we will schedule the Friday and Saturday events to begin in the late afternoon. The hope is that this decision will be announced no later than 10 days prior to the event.

Q: What is the earliest the races would start if "flex-scheduling" is necessary?

A. Hot laps could start as early as 4 p.m. and would be immediately followed by opening ceremonies and heat races.

Q: What happens on Thursday?

A. Thursday will feature two separate rounds of two-lap qualifying time trials for both the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The first round will set the lineups for Friday's event while the second round will set the lineups for Saturday's event. In the event of a large car count for either, or both, division(s), a program of last chance races may immediately follow.

Q: What is the format on Friday?

A. Tentative and subject to change. WoO Sprint hot laps, WoO Late Model hot laps, opening ceremonies, WoO Sprint heat races (four), WoO Late Model heat races (up to six), WoO Sprint C-Feature (if necessary), WoO Sprint Dash, WoO Sprint Last Chance Showdown, WoO Late Model Last Chance Showdowns (up to two), WoO Sprint A-Feature (30 laps - $10,000-to-win) and WoO Late Model A-Feature (50 laps - $10,000-to-win).

Q: Will there be free Dirtvision Radio Network (DRN) coverage of the Nov. 1, 2 and 3 activities?

Q: Will there be any DirTVision Cybercasts of Nov. 1 and 2 activities? I assume there will be no Nov. 3 Cybercast since that night is scheduled to be shown on SPEED the next day.

Are Late Model drivers Scott Bloomquist, Brady Smith, Shannon Babb, Brian Birkhofer, Billy Moyer and Jimmy Mars planning on running this event? Last I heard Bloomquist had a falling out with the WoO Late Model series and wasn't running with them.

Will this event be televised? PPV or on Speed on a delayed basis?

No, Bloomquist still runs the big money and TV WoO shows.

Actually he won the $30,000 to win Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway sanctioned by the WoO a few weeks ago.

Most of the guys you mention in your post are pretty much running the high $$$ shows and not following a series.

Bloomquist is a closet Sprint Car fan. Here's proof, I caught him wearing a Stevie Smith shirt a few years ago and took his picture. When I asked if he'd mind posing for the photo he says "do you want to come back in a few minutes after I put on my driving suit?" I said "no, I like the shirt you're wearing."

P.S. After I made this post yesterday I tuned into a WoO Late Model race on Speed and Bloomer was there. Another drive from our local area who is driving a Bloomquist car this year is Brady Smith. Brady is from Solon Springs, Wisconsin, and when he was still running Wissota locally he emailed me to find out how to get in touch with one of the IRA drivers. Seems Brady wanted to buy a Sprint Car shirt. I can't recall which driver it was but I emailed the IRA driver, got his phone number and gave it to Brady at the Rice Lake Speedway.

Sometimes the fans are locked into a particular class of dirt track car but the drivers seem to appreciate other forms of the sport.
