over 50 410 sprints, top drivers from all series, great format, PPV under 20.00 bucks,no racing anywhere else, you would think that would generate a lot of chatter but its been quiet, anybody have any ideas as to why it seems to be getting such little interest, you would think it would sell out in hours, just some thoughts

five events stretched out over ten days may contibute something to the buzz factor...
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..

There may not be much chatter but I bet the place will be full every night. Even though there will be a large number of people coming from out of state specifically for the races, the Promoter and the Tribe have done a tremendous job marketing to the locals. In the winter, Yuma is busting at the seams with Snow Birds from all parts of the country. The city is very active in what goes on at the track.
The Hotel at the Casino is already full and other area motels are filling up fast, especially the midclass ones. I booked a room at Howard Johnsons and they are either sold out or very near sold out. I predict that the event will be a tremendous success and will become a "must go" in the future, just like the Chili Bowl, but with much better winter weather.

Tickets sold to fans from 29 states, 2 candaian provinces and australia. Rv's showing up as early as Christmas. Daily activities all over town for all 9 days. Live music at the track each day.
and 50 plus cars with a healthy list of drivers. PPV & 2 hours of television. Facebook & twitter seem to be buzzing. It was common talk at PRI.

Tickets sold? I thought it was General Admission?
I'm going 2nd weekend only... do I need to reserve tickets?
I tend to be a creature of habit but this will be something new... so cool

It is all general admission, no reserve seats. I bought mine on-line so i can avoid a long wait-in-line at the track.

Your right this is stretched to far over five days , but will be successful because fans never get enough racing , warm climate , and top names in one spot .But I feel it would have been better over 4 days but they prefer it this way for track prep ,as I was told by the promoter . It will become a regular event to attend after this year's first running if all goes well .

this is a much better deal than flordia in feb,40 deg at night and 150 mods and LM. but i think it would have been much better with some top rows of reserved seats, maybe next year i think this will become a fixture in 410 sprint car racing.

Personally I like it spread out over 9 days. But I only work part time, so it fits well for me. Another positive about the 9 day period is the posibility of a rain out and having the time to make it up. Yes, I know a rainout is unlikely in Yuma, but it can happen. In addition, for the race fans just going there for the races, it will seem like a long time just for the 5 shows. But there is so much to do in the area because of the great weather, other activities can be enjoyed other than the races. A "must see" for anyone interested in Lapidary (stones, rocks), about an hours drive North to Quartzite, is the annual Lapidary convention, swapmeet/flee market. Tons of jewelery and lapidary tools and equipment. In addition there is an ongoing swapmeet daily. Just a trip there can be an all day event.
Perhaps I'm dreaming but I can see this event expanding to a month long, 3 races a week with hundreds of RV's camped out at trackside for the entire period.

Those who live within a reasonable driving distance and anyone fortunate enough to be able to make it a winter vacation destination would be pretty excited. I imagine that when they actually start racing and people watch on PPV there will be some buzz as well. It's the holiday season and most people have other things going on this time of the year. The chatter will pick up after the first of the year.
