National Sprint League Announces “March Through Missouri”!

Windom, MN (December 2, 2014) – The history of sprint car racing in Missouri goes back to the sport’s beginnings.  The National Sprint League is proud to announce a pair of shows in the “Show-me State” in the month of May.  The “March Through Missouri” will include back-to-back nights at the St. Francois County Raceway near Farmington, and the Randolph County Raceway near Moberly.

On Thursday, May 28, the NSL invades the St. Francois County Raceway.  Defending track champion, Tommy Worley Jr., Joey Montgomery and Joey Boyd will be amongst the drivers defending their home turf against the NSL.  The 3/8-mile dirt oval figures to be the perfect battleground!

The following night, May 29, the series moves northwest to the Randolph County Raceway near Moberly.  For the first time in over 20 years, the sounds of 410 sprint car engines will be echoing off the track’s high banks.  When the track opened in 1989, Steve Kinser won two of the five 410 events contested there.  Kinser won his in USA competition, while Doug Wolfgang won with the Outlaws. Kinser would also win a non-sanctioned show there a year later.

There will be more information to follow concerning both events in the “Show-Me State”!  For more information on the tracks themselves visit www.SFCRaceway.com andwww.RandolphCountyRaceway.com!

Stay tuned for the latest news from the NSL at www.NationalSprintLeague.com, or on our Facebook or Twitter accounts!

Bill W,  Hopefully the NSL will be a great success for all involved.  I'm somewhat concerned about the possible 410 car count at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night May 30th after some of the teams (who plan to race Knoxville on a regular basis) race two nights in a row prior to their normal Sat. night at Kville.  Wishing all involved:  safe & exciting racing with good fan support in the stands at all NSL races and every Sat. night at Kville.

I think you will see a good car count every Saturday night at Knoxville, with some new teams competing on a weekly basis instead of picking and choosing their Knoxville visits.  Don't forget that May 30 is also the induction banquet for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame!
