What difference does it make whether the rear torsion tubes are side by side or stacked?

At a lot of tracks the cars run buried on the left rear all of the time, so by raising up the left rear tube (yet still running the same block height) you end up with that much less negative arm angle once the car is all the way down so there is not as much rear steer/bind.
