Hopefully they make sure the cars are identicle to all the identicle WoO cars so everything on the track continues to be identicle.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Hopefully you learn how to spell identical next time you get on a forum to bitch about something so you don't look like a total ass-clown. Must be a Ford thing...

I see the NSL has announced a show at Cedar Lake. So when will we see some dates released? Will they be out before PRI or will a tentative schedule be released at PRI?

I'm making a guess that it will be the JR SR Memorial that takes place after the Knoxville season concludes. I have written for a local paper that covers Cedar Lake since 1999 and sub as their track photographer so I think I have a reasonably decent handle on their scheduling. CLS is a Saturday night track and they only have three 410 specials per season and a couple UMSS 360 specials all on Saturday nights exept for the WoO.
The "Triple" in May featuring IRA Sprints is is a one night event that takes place on a Saturday night. the World of Outlaws stop usually falls on the last Sunday in June or first Sunday in July when it comes before the 4th. The Jerry Richert Sr. Memorial is the Saturday after Labor Day weekend and would be the most likely opening in the CLS schedule. Cedar Lake adds Thursday and Friday shows for their annual Masters (open Late Models and USMTS Mods), the USA Nationals Late Model race the first week of August and their Legendary 100 the weekend after the Jerry Richert Sr. Memorial. I haven't talked to the owners since September but their pretty locked into their annual routine and struggle with all but the biggest Friday Late Model shows on account of Twin Cities traffic.
There was some sponsorship from BGTS for this year's Memorial race so I would think that will be the most likely candidate. This is big Late Model and Modified country up here so I don't see them taking a chance on a Friday Sprint show but I have been wrong before. I'd be surprised if any 410 shows on a night besides Saturday are added based on having been a fixture out there going on twenty years now. The CLS schedule is supposed to be released soon and the NSL has indicated that they will be releasing theirs as well so we'll see what happens.
Aside from CLS there are three other tracks within an hour of where I live. Saint Croix Valley (another track I frequent) which runs Sprints and is a Friday track but not the largest or most modern facility. The racing is awesome up there and they have handled Sprint specials with upwards of 30 cars so we'll see. They hosted one IRA special and Steve's guys haven't been back but they contine to run 360's and limited non-wing cars. Ogilvie Raceway is up the road about an hour, nice track but again it's a Saturday track. The other track is Princeton that has hosted some WoO races but again there isn't a lot of seating and they had to put up temporary stands for the WoO. Tom Ryan, the owner of Elko Speedway, opted to discontinue his dirt conversion experiment after hosting a 2013 WoO race. The cost of putting down and taking up the dirt proved to be too much without sponsor help. Elko is one of the home tracks of the Midwest Racing Connection that I write for so if they come I will be there.
Even if it's only one race with the enhanced purse and some of the traveling teams being mentioned with this deal it should be a good show. There aren't many 410 cars to add to the mix up in this neck of the woods so they would most likely be combined shows with another series (fill in the three letters).
I was admittedly skeptical about this deal at first but it looks to be a great deal for Sprint Car racing. Admittedly a lot of their races will be out of reach for me personally but I think the positive effects will be positive for all Sprint Car racing. There will be something for young drivers to aspire to and this should increase the availabilty of used equipment and all the intangibles that come with this kind of deal. I'm very impressed with the direction this is heading even though I don't expect to see a lot of shows on account of my limited travel opportunities.

I can't throw an edit on these posts for some reason and I used a poor choice of words when I referred to CLS struggling with their Friday night specials. This year's USA Nationals had a huge crowd on Friday night as does the Legendary 100. What I was really getting at and meant to say was based on my interactions with the owners I'm not sold on the idea that they'd try a one night Sprint special on a Friday night. Knoxville's Saturday show is the clincher here as all the teams would have to be back in Iowa for Saturday night. That's what I meant in regards to any Friday CLS shows. All of the Friday tracks up in this area draw less cars and fans than Saturday tracks do to a combination of factors. We've got a three million population Metro area where everyone is making a mad dash to their recreation on Fridays. Minneapolis a gridlock so that teams based west of the Cities have to take the afternoon off on Fridays to make it to the tracks. Friday Twin Cities traffic and construction is a fact of life up here.

I can believe what you say about traffic. It would make getting to a friday night show difficult for fans & teams alike. Tried to go through Dallas at morning rush hour. Wow, could have walked across town faster!
