Joey is not doing bad 2nd is good he has 17 drivers behind him.as for what he said I think he was mad at himsef for hitting the wall.
|
Muzzz, I only ever said that once to a racer and he squarely put me in my place in not uncertain terms. I'm a quick learner and never said that again to the second runner up.
For him being mad at himself, it was for coming in second. For top racers second is never good enough.

Well said LJAYNE...

Yeh right.. they won six times with him.. they won the very first night without him (maybe that night they only washed the car and left the torsion stops alone).. the wins have been few and far between since.
I don't know you figure it out. I like Joey and what KK has done for the sport, I just liked the battle for the championship the way it was before Warner was let go..

Sometimes its not what you say but how you say it. Whatever he meant to say, it came out the wrong way and Saldana sounded like an a$$hole to many of the folks in attendance.

Nice to see Joey come out and admit he made a mistake. Apology accepted on my behalf. It takes a real man to publicly admit he made an error in judgement. News flash to the WoO!!! Maybe shoving a microphone in a drivers face as soon as he gets outta the racecar, isn't the best idea. I fully understand the intensity of the moment, but leave the interviews till well after the races are over so these drivers can collect their thoughts.

How long is this thread going to stay here??? I noticed the one of McCarl fighting with an old man did not last a day on this board but, then again, no one may say anything against McCarl, the new coming of the chosen one or something.

At least in Canada he turned up to the presentation in Australian at Parramatta He never turned up after Donny beat him in the 2006 50,000 to win When Donny passed him on the last corner

Please View Full Press Release at www.joeysaldana.com
To all the Canadian Sprint Car fans and World of Outlaw Fans: I want to apologize for the post race comments at Edmonton, Canada on Sunday night.
I want all to know that what I said was taken out of context and by no means did I intend to offend anyone. I know most people would have taken what I said in a very negative way and that was not my intention.
I have no negative feelings of racing in Canada or of the fans who had been very supportive over the several days that we were there.
What I really meant was that I was just glad that we finally got the race in after the rain delays because I was told that if the rain kept falling that there was a possibility that we would have to stay to race up through Wednesday and that was not what our Team or any other team I'm sure wanted to do knowing that we had a 16 hour drive ahead of us to get to Washington to race on Friday.
My Team had been working hard and driving a lot of miles for several weeks and they were looking forward to some much deserved time off to visit with friends and family in Washington. The longer we were delayed in Canada the less time they had for this. Therefore, we were just ready to get on the road and get there as soon as possible.
I can't take back what I said, but I will remember in the future to think about how I say things and to do a better job of expressing how I really feel.
Again, I apologize to all who took offense to my comments, to my fans and Kasey Kahne Racing.
Sincerely,
Joey Saldana

Bosma, you can say with 100% certainty that this was all a bunch of B.S.??? Of course, with you, McCarl could dump a load of manure on you and you'd swear it was raining gold. One thing you (and McCarl) are going to have to realize is that sponsors will not continue to put up with those kind of embarassments. McCarl is a full time rep of every company that sponsors him. It's time he grows up a bit.
