FINAL 2014 OCRS MANUFACTURES PERFORMANCE RANKINGS
PRESENTED BY: SPRINTDUDES.COM

Tulsa Okla. (October 9, 2014) - The final curtain call of the 2014 OCRS Manufactures Performance Rankings presented by Sprintdudes.com has reached its calling. We acknowledge the top producers of the OCRS sprint car series in the chassis and engine building departments in one of the most competitive (if not the most) racing season since the inception of the series in 2002.

Top MPR Chassis Manufacture:
Eagle Motorsports / Lincoln Nebraska

Top MPR Engine Builder:
STK Racing Engines / Broken Arrow Oklahoma

Eagle Motorsports success in the OCRS series was largely due to five victories by Claremore Oklahoma’s Alex Decamp, which was a series high for a single driver this past season. Jamie Passmore and Gary Owens also scored OCRS wins for Eagle. Seven drivers scored valuable MPR points in Eagle hardware with their runner-up finishes and one driver, Johnny ‘Hotrod’ Kent, racked up three such podium spots for 2014 while running primarily the bottom half of the season only.

Maxim Chassis and XXX Race Components were deadlocked in a race for second after the September 5th event at Tri-State Speedway. Maxim then finished the year strong to nab the second spot with victories in the last two events. One was with Chance Morton and the one coming with Kenneth Walker doing the honors at the wheel. Those victories allowed Maxim to tie Eagle with seven victories each. XXX had five wins for the season led by Brian McClelland with his two triumphs.

A.R.T. Speed Equipment has bragging rights of their very own as their A.R.T. chassis are the product of choice for the Cagle Motorsports team who had Andrew Deal wheel their make to the OCRS championship. It was the first OCRS title for both driver and A.R.T. Speed Equipment. 2014 was the first foray into OCRS competition by Cagle Motorsports thus winning a title right out of the box as a sprint car team, a feat never before accomplished in the OCRS series.

STK Racing Engines found themselves in their second year of OCRS competition and they also benefited from DeCamp’s victories while also finding success with brothers Kade and Chance Morton as they won four races between them. This made for nine total trips to victory lane by STK. Dyno Services of Oklahoma had another good showing in the rankings with their runner-up spot. It is the second year in a row for DSO to finish as high in the rankings.

Eleven different engine builders earned OCRS feature victories out of the 22 races held for the season. Texas based Wornhor Racing Engines powered Andrew Deal to his championship and unlike STK and DSO who have multiple drivers using their power plants, Wornhor’s only team in OCRS competition is Deal. Wesmar Racing Engines didn’t have their teams out often for the first half of the season but when they reappeared for the second half, they ran very strong and earned the third spot in the rankings with Wornhor just a step behind in fourth.

It was another great year for the Oil Capitol Racing Series with a great mix of product manufactures and builders once again participating within the series.

Congratulations to all those that achieved success both on and off the racetrack. Next year will be the 14th year of OCRS competition and we look forward to a prosperous racing season, as has been the case the past few years.

OCRS wishes to give special recognition and thanks to Sprintdudes.com for their support of the OCRS series.
