BAKERSFIELD, CA – SEPTEMBER 22, 2014... Continuing his impressive sophomore campaign, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s Trey Marcham earned the Saturday night victory at Bakersfield Speedway. Taking the lead from Alex Schutte on lap ten, last season’s Rookie of the Year claimed his third Honda USAC Western Midget Series triumph of 2014. Ronnie Gardner, Sean Dodenhoff, Jonathon Henry, and Schutte followed Marcham to the checkered flags.

Piloting Keith Ford’s #73 Berry Pack / King Racing Products TCR, Trey Marcham qualified tenth out of the twenty racers at Bakersfield and ran third in his heat race. To date, Marcham is second in both the dirt and overall standings with two VanLare Steering Repair Fast Time Awards, two heat race victories, nine top-10 finishes, and 77 feature laps led to his credit.

Continuing his bid for a second title, Ronnie Gardner of Norco ran second at Bakersfield Speedway. Running a limited schedule, the versatile driver has one heat race victory and two top-10 finishes.

Redding’s Alex Schutte led the first nine laps of the main event before scoring fifth at the checkered flags.
