MSCS TO APPEAR AS PART OF THE CLASS TRACK FALL ROUNDUP

Haubstadt, IN, September 22, 2014 - The Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint
Car Series will compete Saturday night September 27th at Tri-State
Speedway along with the Sunoco ALMS Late models and UMP Open Wheel
Modifieds.

It will be the 8th appearance for the Midwest Sprint Car Series at
the Haubstadt oval this season. The ALMS Late models will be making
their first appearance at the track since September of last year.
The modified drivers have already frequented the track nine times in
2014. On the 27th all three classes of dirt track cars will be
competing to present the ultimate combination of speed and
competitiveness. Dirt tracks these days seldom offer this
combination in one program. The result is an opportunity to witness
unparalleled racing excitement.

Only two more dates remain on the 2014 MSCS and Tri-State Speedway
schedules. The “Class Track Fall Roundup” is important to sprint car
drivers battling for high point honors. The top ten drivers will
share in the point fund sponsored by Hoosier Tire Midwest. Some hope
to benefit by gaining positions while others need a good night at the
wheel to retain a top spot. Fourteen drivers are still in the hunt
for a top ten finish. A gain of 10 or 12 points could change at
least 5 of those positions.

Currently MSCS points leader Kyle Cummins has the most comfortable
lead over his nearest adversary. He leads runner-up Robert Ballou by
107 points and could conceivably lock the title up during the next
MSCS feature held. Ballou is only 25 points ahead of Brandon Mattox.
Brady Short is back another 12 points. Jeff Bland Jr. holds down
fifth spot in the standings. Carson Short is just outside the top
five.

The Rookie of the Year honors also depends on season points. James
Lyerla currently leads Aaron Farney by 32 points. Lyerla is seventh
in the overall series standings while Farney is now tenth. Two other
rookies, Daylan Chambers and Nick Hale, are in the Top Twenty in the
standings and working race by race to move up.

Midwest Sprint Car Series action this season has produced eight
different winners in just fourteen opportunities. Robert Ballou
leads the series with three wins. Hunter Schuerenberg, Jeff Bland
Jr., Brady Short, and Daron Clayton have two wins each. Kyle
Cummins, Jon Stanbrough, and Tyler Courtney have also registered
wins! Brandon Mattox and Chase Stockon are two top ten drivers that
have been close to a feature win in finishing second.

The Midwest Sprint Car Series and the ALMS Late Models will both be
running for $2,000 to win during the “Class Track Fall Roundup.”
Adult general admission for this event is $22. The student age price
is $15. Children 12 and under in age are admitted free. Pit passes
are $30. The pits open at 3:30 P.M. Racing begins at 7:30 P.M. All
times are Central Daylight Time. More information can be found
