GOING GREEN SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH AT 2PM
The Situation
In ASI RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Raven Culp has wrapped up the Championship heading into the final night. However, there are battles for the 2nd and 4th positions. Martin Edwards leads Jeff Day by 80 points for the 2nd spot, with Robert Vetter and Logan Payne being separated by a mire 50 points for the 4th position.
Blaine’s Motor Supply USA Limited Modifieds see a different story being told. Jimmy Staats is still your current point leader.. but having it wrapped up is far from the situation at hand. Randy Kirkland, a driver who was having a “off” year until mid-June, has tracked down the 3-time champ trailing by 10 points heading into tonight. As “The Sheriff” Michael Daniels had a “off” night last evening, competing in B-Main competition and falling back to a 60-point deficit to Staats. More than one point battle is currently underway though, with Brian Bolden leading Robert Vetter by 20 points for the 4th position. With Tom Lorenz closing in after a win to 130 points back from Bolden, and 110 behind Vetter. Meanwhile, positions 8 through 13 are separated by 200 points.. With Brian Short (9th) 20 points behind Pepper Rhea (8th), 120 points behind Short is Gary Corbin (10th) .. then 60 back to Josh Short (11th).. 40 back to Jeff McGibboney (12th) and only 10 more points back to Matt Reid in 13th.
USA Modifieds do have a Champion who solidified a Championship with a win last night in Max Eddie Thomas. Other battles in this division are Steve MacMackin and Tracy Adams separated by 100 points for the 3rd place… With Trent Dorman and Troy Tindall space apart by 130 points for 5th.. 50 points separate Doug Byrns (8th), Ronnie Sigman (9th) and Joseph Kasper (10th).
Dirt Late Models see Skip O’Neal on top of the division once again in 2014, leading Sloppy Hogg by 190 points. Sloppy Hogg and Max Eddie Thomas however, are separated by just 50 points as they enter the final race.
Factory Stocks see Joseph Miramontez out front and running away..
